Muhammad Abdurrahman Azzam never thought that his college days had a meaning for life. As a student of IPB University, he felt proud and happy to be able to be part of driving the local community's economy.

Azzam's real contribution to the community was obtained thanks to the BCA Bakti Scholarship program. This man from Depok became one of the scholarship recipients and also became a Bakti Champions Ambassador 2025. Bakti Champions itself is a designation for students who receive the BCA Bakti Scholarship. Through this scholarship program, he participated in the development program of one of the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Bogor.

"As one of the Bakti Champions, I have many opportunities to participate in self-development programs and social experiences. Through this program, I also network a lot with friends from universities spread from Sumatra to Papua," said Azzam when telling a radio program at the BCA Expoversary 2026 mini studio at ICE BSD, Tangerang, Banten, on Thursday, February 5.

Azzam is one of 700 recipients of the BCA Bakti Scholarship 2025 program. For Azzam, this scholarship is not only providing financial assistance in the form of pocket money and education fund assistance.

More than that, the fifth semester student of the Communication Science and Community Development Study Program (SKPM), Faculty of Human Ecology (FEMA) admitted that he had gained life skills for a career after studying.

While being a Bakti Champions, Azzam admitted that he received self-development programs such as leadership and character training (Transformational Workshop). Then, there is also an introduction to the professional world through Company Visit and e-learning material on financial management, as well as project management for social contribution programs directly to the community.

All the materials and training programs from the BCA Bakti scholarship were then applied by Azzam into real action. Regarding his support for local MSMEs, Azzam helped one of the MSMEs who worked in the culinary field, ranging from organizational management, graphic design, to content creation on social media. The materials used by Azzam are materials that he got from the briefing as Bakti Champions.

"During the BCA Bakti program, I and other Bakti Champions received tools in the field of marketing and organizational management through interesting training and webinars with competent speakers. In carrying out the program to accompany one of the MSMEs in Bogor, I used the tools so that the program could be sustainable. Until now, the tools we have provided are still in use. It is proven that not only Bakti Champions benefit, but also the community that collaborates with Bakti Champions," said Azzam.

Meanwhile, BCA's EVP Corporate Communications & Social Responsibility, Hera F. Haryn, said the BCA Bakti Scholarship program is present as an effort to strengthen the capacity of students before entering the workforce. This program, he explained, is packaged to nurture Bakti Champions through soft skills training, mentoring, and alumni networking to prepare for future careers.

"BCA's commitment through this program is to create a sustainable impact on education and train qualified young talents as the pillars of the nation's future," said Hera.
