JAKARTA - The Ministry of Social Affairs (Kemensos) has revealed that it has prepared various social assistance packages (bansos) for the first quarter of 2026.

Social Minister Saifullah Yusuf said that during this period, his party would distribute two categories of social assistance, namely regular social assistance and adaptive social assistance which is intended for disaster management.

He added that regular social assistance includes food assistance and the Family Hope Program (PKH) which is aimed at around 18 million beneficiary families with a total budget of Rp. 17.5 trillion.

"There are two types of social assistance, the first is regular social assistance, namely the food assistance social assistance and the hope family program which targets 18 million beneficiary families with a budget of Rp. 17.5 trillion," he said in a press conference, Tuesday, February 10.

The man, who is familiarly called Gus Ipul, also explained that adaptive social assistance was prepared specifically for victims of natural disasters, including in Aceh, Sumatra, and a number of other areas.

He added that the Government had allocated a budget of around Rp. 2.3 trillion for these needs.

"Then the second is adaptive social assistance, the first of which is adaptive social assistance for disaster assistance, including for Sumatra and also for disasters in several other places with a value of more than Rp. 2.3 trillion," he explained.

In addition, he said that the Ministry of Social Affairs also manages social assistance funds for social rehabilitation assistance programs.

Gus Ipul explained that the total budget provided reached Rp. 20 trillion, with the realization of distribution to date having exceeded Rp. 17 trillion.

"Overall, the value is Rp. 20 trillion, to date we have disbursed more than Rp. 17 trillion. The rest will be disbursed for January, February, and March. This means that insyaallah until Eid and we will disburse in the second quarter in April, May, and June," he said.

Saifullah also emphasized that the data on recipients of social assistance is dynamic because it refers to a single data that is continuously updated by the Central Statistics Agency (BPS).

"So the beneficiaries can be in the first quarter, in the second quarter, maybe in the third quarter they can't. Or vice versa, there are those who have never received it and now they get social assistance and this requires a process starting from opening an account or later we will distribute it through PT Pos Indonesia," he concluded.
