Early Phase Almost Full, KEK Industropolis Batang Records Significant Land Absorption and is Ready to Present a New Tourism Destination

KEK Industropolis Batang continues to assert its position as a strategically important national area that is growing dynamically, trusted by investors, and oriented towards the future. Until the beginning of 2026, this area has recorded positive achievements in land absorption, reflecting market optimism towards the investment climate and prospects for the national industry.

Phase 1 of the 450-hectare KEK Industropolis Batang has been fully absorbed, while Phase 2 of 400 hectares has been absorbed by about 95 percent. As for the remaining land of ±1,950 hectares is currently entering the next development phase, opening up new space for the entry of quality investment in the future.

Head of the Corporate Secretary Division of KEK Industropolis Batang, M. Burhan Murtaki, said that this achievement is a tangible proof of the increasing investor confidence in the region.

"This achievement in land absorption is a reflection of investor confidence in KEK Industropolis Batang as a future industrial area. We are not only building infrastructure, but also a sustainable, integrated, and globally competitive industrial ecosystem," said Burhan, in a written statement, Tuesday, January 27.

This achievement is not just a number, but a portrait of a living area. an ecosystem designed to grow together with industry, labor, and the surrounding community.

Currently, KEK Industropolis Batang has sheltered nine industrial tenants that have been operating, including PT KCC Glass Indonesia, PT Yih Quan Footwear Indonesia, PT Samator Indogass, PT Sumber Graha Sejahtera, PT SEG Solar, PT Window Shutter Indonesia, PT Rumah Keramik Indonesia, PT Unipack Plasindo, and PT Wavin Manufacturing Indonesia, as well as one other tenant that is entering the full operational phase.

In addition, KEK Industropolis Batang also houses nine tenants in the BPSP scheme (Ready-to-Use Factory), namely Bromindo Mekar Mitra, Sinar Trans Global, Anggrek Jingga, GPI Logistic, Daho PNC Indonesia, XRL Travel Indonesia, Nesinak Manufacturing Indonesia, Ace Medical Products Indonesia, and Crescere Trading Indonesia.

On the other hand, as many as 14 tenants are currently in the construction phase, which includes various strategic sectors such as the grinding ball industry, food and food processing, garments, medical equipment, dental equipment, laboratory slat industry, as well as pharmaceuticals and medicine. The diversity of these sectors reflects the strength of KEK Industropolis Batang as a multi-purpose industrial area that is adaptive to global market needs.

Not only as an industrial area, KEK Industropolis Batang is also developing as an integrated area that is friendly to workers and visitors. In the residential and dormitory area, various commercial tenants have been present, especially in the culinary and service sectors, such as Locarasa, San Bao, and 25/7, as well as a number of cafes and other supporting facilities.

In line with the establishment of the Batang Industropolis Special Economic Zone which includes the tourism sector, this area has also begun to develop tourism potential as part of the integrated area concept.

This commitment was emphasized through an audience with the Minister of Tourism of the Republic of Indonesia on January 22, 2026, which discussed the direction of the development of the KEK Industropolis Batang as a new world-class tourism destination, which is integrated with an industrial area, green, and sustainable.

The development of the tourism sector is expected not only to complement the industrial area, but also to become a new economic lever that strengthens the attractiveness of investment and expands the benefits of the area for the community.

M. Burhan Murtaki added that the growth of this area is the result of collaboration between various parties.

"The growth of KEK Industropolis Batang is inseparable from the synergy of the government, investors, and the community. We are committed to continue to grow inclusively and make a real contribution to regional and national economic growth," he added.
