JAKARTA - The F.I.R.E (Future Innovators in Rising Economy) Scholarship Program carried out by the Triv Foundation in collaboration with the MEXC Foundation has received a very positive response from students in various regions in Indonesia.

"Student interest far exceeds initial expectations. This enthusiasm shows that Indonesia's young generation has a high curiosity and readiness to be more involved in the blockchain industry, not only as users, but also as builders and innovators," said CEO & Founder Triv Gabriel Rey.

The F.I.R.E Scholarship Program is an initiative designed to grow the next generation of Indonesian blockchain and Web3 leaders through education, mentorship, and direct exposure to the real industry.

Since it was announced in November 2025, the F.I.R.E Scholarship has entered the selection and onboarding phase of participants. Currently, the selected participants have begun to follow the initial series of the program, including the introduction of the curriculum, blockchain foundational sessions, and preparation for the intensive mentorship phase through the F.I.R.E Mentorship Lab.

The F.I.R.E scholarship has recorded hundreds of applicants from various universities in Indonesia, both state and private. From this program, eight outstanding students have been obtained consisting of two students from the University of Indonesia (UI), three students from Bina Nusantara University (BINUS) and three students from the Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (ITS) Surabaya. Where, in parallel, the number will still increase.

The profile of participants is very diverse, ranging from majors such as Information Technology / Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, Data Science, Economics, Business, and Management. As well as, some from non-technical backgrounds who have a strong interest in blockchain and Web3.

"This shows that the blockchain ecosystem is increasingly in demand across disciplines," said Gabriel Rey, quoted Friday, January 16.

He added that the F.I.R.E Scholarship curriculum was designed with an industry-driven approach, covering blockchain and Web3 fundamentals, real industry use cases, technical and non-technical skill development (problem solving, critical thinking, collaboration).

Where, through the F.I.R.E Mentorship Lab, participants are directly guided by industry practitioners to work on case studies and simulations of real problems, so that learning does not stop at theory, but is immediately applicable.

Gabriel Rey added, as an actor in the blockchain industry in Indonesia, TRIV Foundation acts as a bridge between academia and industry. Therefore, TRIV Foundation ensures that the material is in line with the current industry needs, mentors come from active practitioners, and participants understand the reality of the blockchain work environment, including regulations, compliance, and best practices.

"The goal is to produce talent who are not only technically smart, but also professionally ready," he said.

From the F.I.R.E Scholarship Program, the main message that Gabriel Rey wants to convey is that Indonesia has great potential to become a global player in the blockchain industry.

"Through this collaboration, students are encouraged to dare to learn future technology, not only as consumers, but as contributors to the global ecosystem, and to build competence early on so that they can compete internationally," he said.

Indonesia Country Manager of MEXC Foundation Excelsior said, MEXC places Indonesia as the strategic priority of the MEXC Foundation in Southeast Asia due to several things. Namely, a large young population, a rapid adoption rate of digital technology, including a very active crypto and blockchain community.

"This makes Indonesia a strategic talent pool for the development of the blockchain ecosystem in Southeast Asia and globally," he said.

The F.I.R.E scholarship, he said, is a suitable platform to introduce Indonesian talent to global standards. With an internationally-class curriculum and mentorship, this program helps prepare Indonesian students to be able to contribute to global projects, compete in international Web3 companies, and become world-class blockchain founders or developers.

Excelsior added that the MEXC Foundation sees the F.I.R.E Scholarship as a long-term initiative.

"If the impact and results are in line with the expected vision, this program has the potential to be expanded to the next batch with a larger coverage," he concluded.

For information, this collaboration utilizes Triv's experience for a decade in Indonesia, which has served more than 3 million users since 2015, as well as MEXC Foundation's global reach in the field of blockchain and Web3 education and empowerment.
