JAKARTA - PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk or BNI has presented a Health Post as part of the BNI Volunteer Post to support the handling and recovery of residents affected by flash floods in several Aceh regions. The presence of the post is part of BNI's humanitarian action in the emergency response phase and early recovery phase after the disaster.

BNI Corporate Secretary Okki Rushartomo said that the health post provides free health screening services for affected people as an effort to detect health conditions early and as a basis for further treatment if necessary referral to health facilities.

"Through this health post, BNI strives to ensure that the health conditions of affected communities are monitored, especially for vulnerable groups such as children, the elderly, and pregnant and lactating mothers," Okki said in a written statement.

According to Okki, this health service complements various forms of humanitarian assistance distributed through the BNI Volunteer Post as part of the company's Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) program which is oriented towards sustainable recovery. The activity was carried out in synergy with the BUMN Family through the BUMN Peduli 'One Heart for Sumatra' program under the coordination of Danantara Indonesia.

The BNI Volunteer Post operates in Leuser Village, Ketambe District, South East Aceh Regency since December 19, 2025, and in Tanah Jambo Aye District, North Aceh Regency since December 22, 2025, which covers the areas of Alue Ie Mierah, Lhok Reudeup, and Jrat Manyang.

During the operational period, BNI together with BNI Volunteers has provided health examination services to hundreds of affected residents. Based on the results of the examination, the complaints encountered were generally mild and common after the disaster, such as fever, diarrhea, minor wounds, and hypertension in the elderly. Treatment is carried out through medical examinations, wound care, medication and vitamin administration, and referral to the nearest health facility if necessary.

The presence of BNI post and volunteers in the affected community is expected to help accelerate the recovery process, especially for vulnerable groups who need sustainable health assistance.

"BNI will continue to contribute to the recovery of disaster-affected communities through collaboration with various parties, so that the recovery process can run in a coordinated, sustainable manner, and provide a real impact," concluded Okki.

Through the BNI Berbagi program and the synergy of BUMN Peduli, BNI confirms its commitment to continue to accompany the community from the emergency response phase to early recovery, as part of the role of BUMN in supporting social and humanitarian resilience.
