JAKARTA - PT Gagas Energi Indonesia collaborates with PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk (PGN) and the Gas Community (Komogas) to present a CNG Tour Workshop program as a tangible effort to restore the function of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) fueled vehicles in the West Java region, starting from the Jabodetabek area.
PGN Corporate Secretary Fajriyah Usman explained that the CNG Tour Workshop Program is designed to bring CNG vehicle service and maintenance services directly to users.
"Through proper inspection and repair, CNG vehicles are expected to be able to operate optimally, safely, and efficiently, as well as contribute to reducing exhaust gas emissions," said Fajriyah, Wednesday, December 24.
He added that the implementation of the CNG Tour Workshop will be carried out gradually at various strategic points, namely at the Pondok Ungu SPBG on December 22-27, 2025, the Komogas Basecamp in the Kalimalang area, East Jakarta on December 29-32, 2025, the Klender SPBG on January 5-9, 2026, the Grogol SPBG on January 5-9, 2026 and at the Depok SPBG on January 28-30, 2026 which is targeted to reach operational vehicles, public transportation, to CNG user community vehicles.
The services provided include CNG system inspection, minor repairs, component adjustment, and technical consultation by experienced technicians.
He added, this CNG Tour Workshop is the first program in Indonesia which was initiated through the collaboration of PGN CSR in collaboration with PGN Gagas and received input from Komogas colleagues. This workshop will be a hallmark of the Pertamina Gas Subholding to support the optimization of SPBG and BBG, as well as improving the comfort and welfare of BBG vehicle users.
"We hope that problems or obstacles in the field can be assessed through workshops that have cooperated with pGN Gagas, including this mobile workshop," he continued.
PGN President Director Gagas, Santiaji Gunawan, said that this program is not only a technical service, but also part of a joint movement to maintain the environment.
"CNG vehicle service may seem like a small step, but if it is done consistently and massively, the impact is huge for the earth. Well-maintained vehicles will be more efficient, safer, and more environmentally friendly," explained Fajriyah.
The CNG Tour Workshop has complete facilities, ranging from the first installation to emission checks.
"In addition, the technicians and equipment used have official certification," added the General Chairman of Komogas, Andi Lala.
PGN emphasized that this initiative is in line with the company's commitment to encourage energy transition through the use of cleaner natural gas compared to conventional fuels.
With CNG vehicles that are back in optimal functioning, the benefits of natural gas energy can be felt sustainably by the community.
Meanwhile, Komogas acts as a liaison between the program and users in the field, ensuring that the needs of the CNG community can be served while increasing awareness of the importance of maintenance and safety of gas-fueled vehicles.
