JAKARTA - Pertamina Patra Niaga plans to launch Biosolar Performance in early 2026 as a high performance fuel oil (BBM) to support the needs of the industrial sector.
VP Business Development & Subsidiary Patra Niaga Sigit Setiawan explained that Biosolar Performance is designed to meet the operational needs of industries with high working hours and heavy machine loads, so that operational reliability is higher than conventional B40.
"Technically, Biosolar Performance helps keep the fuel system clean and stable, so that engine performance is more optimal and operating costs can be suppressed. This is a solution for industrial consumers who need long-term reliability," explained Sigit in the Press Conference of the 2025 Christmas and 2026 New Year Task Force (Satgas) held at Wisma Tugu II, Pertamina Patra Niaga Headquarters, Jakarta, Monday, December 22.
He explained, Biosolar Performance is an expansion of Biosolar which has been equipped with the Pertatec (Pertamina Technology) formula. This product is designed to maintain the cleanliness of the fuel system, suppress the formation of deposits, and maintain the stability of engine performance in sustainable industrial operations.
Meanwhile, in terms of technical performance, Biosolar Performance showed an improvement in performance based on test results, including an increase in fuel performance, a decrease in fuel filter blocking tendency, cleaning deposits on the fuel system, and an increase in the efficiency of filter replacement costs.

As part of the preparation phase, VP Industrial & Marine Fuel Pertamina Patra Niaga, Oos Kosasih explained that Biosolar Performance has been tested in a number of industrial sectors, including upstream oil and gas and mining.
