JAKARTA - PERURI together with the Directorate General of Customs and Excise (DJBC) held a procession of the First Delivery of the Design Tax Tape of 2026 in the PERURI production area, Karawang, on Wednesday, December 10. This event confirms the readiness of PERURI and DJBC in ensuring the availability of safe, quality, and timely tax tape as a strategic element to maintain the smoothness of tax payment and the stability of the tobacco (HT) and ethyl alcohol-containing beverage (MMEA) industry into 2026.

As the leader of the Tax Tape Printing Consortium, PERURI coordinates the entire process from determining the needs, production, to delivery. This consortium consists of PT Kertas Padalarang as a supplier of tax paper raw materials as well as PT Pura Nusapersada which provides holograms and their bonding process. With long experience in the production of high security documents, PERURI continues to strengthen production capacity and quality control systems to ensure the supply of tax tape 2026 runs optimally throughout the year.

Director General of Customs and Excise, Lieutenant General TNI (Ret.) Djaka Budhi Utama, directly led the handover ceremony. Djaka emphasized the importance of the availability of excise tape since the beginning of January to ensure the smooth production of industry. Djaka appreciated the commitment of PERURI which again met the needs in a timely manner, especially with the support of the policy of the Minister of Finance Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa who ensured that there was no increase in excise tape in 2026.

On the same occasion, the President Director of PERURI, Dwina Septiani Wijaya, conveyed that this first delivery was an honor and a great responsibility. He emphasized that PERURI and the Consortium were committed to providing the best quality and services through the principles of quality, quantity, timeliness, and fulfillment of all production standards set by the government.

As of December 9, 2025, orders reached 24.3 million sheets of HT excise tape and 310 thousand sheets of MMEA excise tape, indicating the high industry demand at the beginning of the year. To maintain supply continuity, approximately 8.75 million sheets have been handed over using the 2025 Budget Implementation Fill List (DIPA), more than double the initial delivery of 2025 excise tape. Continued production will continue from January 2, 2026 in stages.

The production and delivery of the 2025 excise tape has been completed on December 4, 2025, although some are still being distributed to the Customs service office. The total order reached 177.6 million HT sheets and 3.8 million MMEA sheets. In the HT segment, demand was dominated by hand-rolled kretek cigarettes (SKT) ±54 percent, followed by machine-rolled kretek cigarettes (SKM) ±39 percent, with Group I contributing around 45 percent. For the MMEA excise tape, domestic products dominated the order of around 94 percent, with Group B (alcohol rate of 5-20 percent) as the most ordered type, namely ±86%.

"The availability of tax bands ensures the smooth production of business actors, maintains state revenue, and strengthens the supervisory function. Customs together with PERURI will continue to provide timely, transparent, and accountable services as support for a disciplined and sustainable business climate," said Djaka.

PERURI hopes that this collaboration will further strengthen the governance and public services in the field of taxes, as well as reaffirm the company's commitment to providing high-security printing services, maintaining supply continuity, and supporting the sustainability of the industry and the national economy.
