Danantara Boss Regarding How To Restructuring: Solid Government Finds The Best Scheme

JAKARTA - COO Danantara Indonesia, Dony Oskaria, ensured that all steps related to the debt restructuring of the HIGH Speed Train were being carefully prepared.

According to him, the government is solid in its efforts to fix MAYH's financial condition.

"Of course the government is solid, basically we want to make improvements toRADE's financial condition," he said at the Office of the Coordinating Ministry for the Economy, Jakarta, Wednesday, November 26.

Dony said the debt restructuring process for the Fast Train Can not be announced and completed in a short time because it still requires studies and negotiations between parties.

"But it can't be announced immediately today, it will be finished tomorrow. We are reviewing what our point of negotiation will be like. So we want something the best," he said.

When asked about the planned departure to China for debt negotiations, Dony said that until now it had not been scheduled.

"Nothing yet. Later it will be led by the Coordinating Minister (Infrastructure and Regional Development Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono)," he said.

Previously, Danantara Indonesia CEO Rosan Roeslani said that his party was currently still in the stage of finalizing the proposal before leaving for China to negotiate the debt of the Fast Train

Along with that, Rosan also admitted that he was still communicating with the Minister of Finance, Purbaya Yudhi Sadive.

"We continue to communicate with Pak Purbaya. We sit down and are confirming that later we will go to (the) China, we have completed the proposal to China," he told reporters, Wednesday, November 26.

When asked whether negotiations would be carried out in December this year, Rosan admitted that he could not confirm it. However, he confirmed that he would send a preliminary team to start talks with the Chinese side.

"Of course we will send an advance team first to talk to the team from China that is already running. But later the gong maybe I with Pak Purbaya (will fly to China)," he said.

Government Takes Over Debt

Previously, President Prabowo Subianto asked that the polemic of the debt for the Fast Train project should not be calculated from profit and loss. He said, transportation in the world can be seen from its benefits to the people.

Prabowo said, all transportation presented for the common interest is the responsibility of the government. Because, there is a public service obligation (PSO) mechanism or public service obligations in it.

"Whoosh, all public transport around the world, don't count profits, losses, no. Calculate the benefits for the people? Around the world that way. This is called public service obligation. Some are running it," he said when inaugurating Tanah Abang Station, quoted from the Presidential Secretariat YouTube, Tuesday, November 4.

Therefore, Prabowo asked the public not to make a fuss regarding the polemic of the Fast Train debt. He said the government would take responsibility for this.

"Don't worry, what's a fuss over your debt? I've studied the problem. There's no problem, I'll take responsibility for all the debts," he said.

Prabowo admitted that he had calculated the problem. Therefore, he asked the President Director of PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) or KAI not to worry.

Sekadar informasi, PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) merupakan pimpinan konsorsium Indonesia yang tergabung dalam PT Pilar Sinergi BUMN Indonesia (PSBI) yang menjadi partner dari Beijing Yawan HSR Co Ltd di dalam PT Kereta Cepat Indonesia China (KCIC).

Komposisi pemegang saham PSBI terdiri dari PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) 58,53 persen, PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk 33,36 persen, PT Perkebunan Nusantara I 1,03 persen, dan PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk 7,08 persen.

“Indonesia bukan negara sembarangan. Kita hitung, enggak ada masalah itu. Jadi PT KAI enggak usah khawatir, semuanya enggak usah khawatir, rakyat, kita layani rakyat kita. Kita berjuang untuk rakyat kita,” ucapnya.
