JAKARTA - Minister of Housing and Settlement Areas (PKP) Maruarar Sirait (Ara) reported that the realization of the Ministry of PKP's budget until November 18, 2025 has reached 77.65 percent of the total ceiling of Rp4.71 trillion.

Ara said that it has allocated a budget of IDR 3.66 trillion to support various programs, ranging from the implementation of Self-Help Housing Stimulant Assistance (BSPS) to the development of flats (rusun) to special houses.

"The absorption projection on November 28, 2025 is 85.02 percent. So, we try to be strict for our evaluation every month," said Ara.

He added, until the end of 2025, his party is targeting the realization of the Ministry of PKP's budget to reach up to 97 percent or reach Rp4.58 trillion.

In order to achieve this, Ara emphasized that he would immediately conduct auctions on a number of remaining projects.

"Because we also have tenders, remaining tenders and so on. So, we are trying (budget absorption) up to 97 percent by the end of this year," he said.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of PKP's budget for 2026 has been approved by Commission V of the DPR of IDR 10.8 trillion.

Of this total, as much as Rp. 8.9 trillion or 81 percent was allocated specifically for the Self-Help Housing Stimulant Assistance (BSPS) program.

In addition to BSPS, the Ministry of PKP will also implement several other strategic programs in 2026, including the construction of flats with a budget of IDR 375.32 billion for the construction of 796 units or 21 towers.

Finally, the budget allocation is also for management support of Rp. 981.90 billion, supporting salaries and allowances of 3,791 employees, operating 60 satkers and evaluating public policies and programs.
