Nataru Holiday Toll Rate Discount, Head Of BPJT Calls Tomorrow Discussed With Operators

JAKARTA - The Toll Road Regulatory Agency (BPJT) of the Ministry of Public Works (PU) will hold a coordination meeting (Rakor) regarding toll tariff discounts for the Christmas 2025 and New Year 2026 periods (Nataru 2025/2026).

This was conveyed by the Head of BPJT of the Ministry of Public Works, Wilan Oktavian when met at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Monday, November 17. He said the discussion had started today.

"The discussion has started, yes. Tomorrow I will have a meeting with them (toll road operators)," he said.

Even though the discussion was already underway, it reportedly went well. Remember, Nataru's discount is close to the Eid holiday period. However, Wilan admitted that there had been no further discussion about it.

"We have not discussed with BUJT (Toll Road Business Agency), only tomorrow," he explained.

Previously, the Minister of Public Works, Dody Hanggodo, revealed that the reason for discussing the toll tariff discount in the Nataru period had yet to find a bright spot.

According to Dody, his party is currently discussing intensively with BUJT regarding the implementation of the tariff discount.

"So, we are still discussing hard, because of what? Now, right, we are not only talking about Nataru, but also talking about Eid al-Fitr (2026) because it is close, here. So, I are discussing these two things," said Dody in a Media Briefing at the Ministry of Public Works office, Jakarta, Friday, October 31.

The reason, said Dody, is that the discount will affect the income of BUJT.

Thus, the determination of the discount will be carried out carefully and with full consideration.

Meski begitu, dia menekankan pemerintah akan tetap mengusahakan pemberian diskon tarif.

Hal itu ditujukan guna memastikan tidak terjadinya penumpukan kendaraan saat libur Nataru.

"Jadi, kalau kemudian menumpuk semua, kan, juga jadi macet total (ada) masalah baru. Bagi pemilik jalan tol, ya, sebaiknya memang dikasih diskon, sehingga flow-nya itu lebih lancar, lah. Enggak sampai terjadi kemacetan," katanya.

Even so, he stressed that the government will continue to strive to provide tariff discounts.

This is intended to ensure that there is no accumulation of vehicles during the Nataru holiday.

"So, if everything piles up, right, there will also be a total traffic jam (there is) a new problem. For toll road owners, yes, they should be given a discount, so that the flow is smoother, right. There is no traffic jam," he said.
