Had Planned For COD 2025, First Operation Of PLTS Trambesi Resigned To Quarter II-2026

JAKARTA - PT TBS Energi Utama Tbk (TOBA) revealed that the schedule for the first commercial on date (COD) of the Floating Solar Power Plant (PLTS) project will be carried out in the second quarter of 2026. This schedule is delayed from the initial target set by 2025.

"No, it looks like it will be in 2026. In the 2nd quarter, the beginning of the 2nd quarter," said the Director of PT TBS Energi Utama Tbk (TOBA), July Oktarina, Wednesday, November 12.

Although it is suspected, July did not elaborate further on the reasons why the floating PLTS with a capacity of 46 Mega Watt peak (MWp) experienced a setback from its original target.

"COD Tembesi has been postponed, just look at the field. The construction too," continued Juli.

Ia menambahkan, Proyek PLTS Terapung Tembesi, yang dikembangkan melalui kerja sama dengan PLN Nusantara Power ini akan masuk ke jaringan listrik PLN Batam.

"The first phase is 46 MW to enter the Batam PLN network," he said.

Based on VOI records, the financing of the floating solar power plant (PLTS) project in Tembesi, Batam was completed in March 2025.

In working on the project, PLN NP and TOBA use a ownership scheme of 51 percent owned by PLN NP and 49 percent owned by PT TBS Energi.

Later this PLTS will have a capacity of 46 MWp and built on the Tembesi Reservoir which has an area of 864 hectares.
