JAKARTA - PT Perkebunan Nusantara IV (PTPN IV) PalmCo has re-opened the 2025 Batch II National Trade Program. This program, which is supported by the Ministry of Manpower, aims to provide opportunities for new diploma graduates (D-3) and undergraduates (S-1) to learn directly in plantation industries spread across various parts of Indonesia.
Internal registration is open until November 12, 2025, through the official website of internhub.kemnaker.go.id.
The participants who qualify will be placed in six operational areas of PalmCo, namely Regional II Medan, Regional III Pekanbaru, Regional IV Jambi, Regional V Pontianak, Regional VI Aceh, and Regional VII Lampung.
President Director of PTPN IV PalmCo, Jatmiko K. Santosa, said this program was part of the company's efforts to strengthen the competence of young Indonesian workers in the national strategic sector.
"PalmCo is committed to being part of a solution to improve the competence of Indonesia's young workers. We want to provide a chance to learn directly in the plantation industry which is transforming towards food independence and national energy," said Jatmiko in his statement, Sunday, November 9.
Different from the first batch that opened last October and focuses a lot on the head office area, Jatmiko explained, this second batch focuses on working experience at the Regional Office.
Participants can also be directly involved in activities in plantations, ranging from production, processing, to distribution of results.
"This field-based approach is expected to provide a comprehensive understanding of the value chain of the plantation industry and strengthen the readiness of new graduates in facing a sustainable world of agribusiness-based work," he explained.
Jatmiko said this program is open to graduates of various majors, including accounting, law, engineering, and agriculture.
In addition to technical capabilities, said Jatmiko, participants will also receive briefings on work ethics, work safety, and environmental management, as part of the formation of professional character in the plantation sector.
"The main requirements for participants include Indonesian citizens, maximum graduates in the last year from universities registered with the Ministry of Education and Culture, and willing to follow the entire selection and placement process in the PalmCo working area," he said.
In addition to receiving wages, said Jatmiko, interns will receive direct assistance from mentors at work locations, internship allowances, and official certificates from PTPN IV PalmCo and the Ministry of Manpower after the program ends.
In addition, PalmCo opens opportunities for outstanding participants to join as permanent employees.
"This step is part of the company's strategy in preparing human resource regeneration in the national plantation sector," he said.
Jatmiko explained that the PalmCo National Handling program is part of efforts to strengthen synergies between the world of education and industry, as well as expand opportunities for the younger generation to contribute to the development of the plantation sector.
"With a wide area of coverage, this program not only provides professional experience, but also opens up participants' insights regarding the important role of the plantation industry in Indonesia's food and energy security," he concluded.
