JAKARTA - The Indonesian National Police together with the Directorate General of Taxes (DJP) and the Directorate of Customs and Excise of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia managed to secure 87 containers of crude palm oil (CPO) derivative products with a total net weight of 1,802 tons worth IDR 28.7 billion.
The Director General of Customs and Excise at the Ministry of Finance, Jaka Budi Utama, explained that based on the joint operations of the Ministry of Finance (DJBC) and the National Police Task Force revealed the alleged violation of the export of CPO derivative products by PT MMS at Tanjung Priok Port.
"The goods are notified as a Fatty Matter and are a category that is not subject to Customs and Exit and does not include the export prohibition," Jaka said at a press conference at Tanjung Periok Port, Thursday, November 6.
He added that the results of laboratory tests of BLBC and IPB showed that the therapeutic product was a mixture of vegetable containing derivatives of CPO, so it could potentially be subject to Customs and Export obligations.
"After in-depth investigation, the notification of the export permit did not match what the importer said, so we took steps to prevent it," continued Jaka.
