JAKARTA - PT Bursa Efek Indonesia (IDX) officially launched three new indexes in collaboration with S&P Dow Jones Indies from the United States (US), Monday, November 3, 2025.
Meanwhile, the three indexes that were launched were the S&P/IDX Indonesia ESG Tilted Opportunity, S&P/IDX Indonesia Dividend Opportunities, and S&P/IDX Indonesia Shariah High Dividend.
IDX Director of Trade and Member Regulation Irvan Susandy explained that this launch marks the latest strategic collaboration between the IDX and the S&P Dow Jones Indices.
He added, over the past decade, Indonesia has experienced rapid development in investment products such as mutual index funds and Exchange Trade Fund (ETF).
Irvan said the portion of assets managed through passive investment products increased significantly, from 1.4 percent in 2016 to 20.1 percent in September 2025.
"This development shows the increasing trust from investors in passive investment strategies supported by increased product capabilities and performance based on indices in the domestic market," he said at the IDX Co-brand Index 3 (Three) with the S&P Dow Jones Indices LLC, Monday, November 3.
Irvan emphasized that the IDX is committed to continuing to encourage the growth of index-based passive investment products in the Indonesian capital market.
Based on data from the Financial Services Authority (OJK) as of September 2025, there were 74 stock index-based mutual funds and ETFs recorded on the IDX with total managed assets reaching IDR 16.41 trillion. This number increased rapidly compared to 2017 which only recorded 23 products with a total AUM of IDR 5.9 trillion.
He said this year, the IDX strengthened its collaboration with the S&P Dow Jones Indices in developing various new equity indexes.
Meanwhile, S&P Dow Jones Indices has a long reputation in creating innovative index solutions that support investment strategies and added value for investors in the world.
