BI Reveals Business Activities In The Third Quarter Of 2025 Will Be Maintained

JAKARTA - Bank Indonesia (BI) stated that based on the results of the Business Activity Survey (SKDU), it indicated that business activities will be maintained in the third quarter of 2025.

Executive Director of the BI Communication Department Ramdan Denny Prakoso said this was reflected in the performance of all Business Fields (LU) which were recorded positive with a Weighted Net Balance (SBT) value of 11.55 percent, not much different from the SBT in the previous quarter of 11.70 percent.

"The performance of a number of LUs has increased, especially at LU Mining and Excavation, LU Construction, LU Processing Industry, LU Financial Services, and LU Administration Administration, Defense, and Social Security," he explained in his statement, Friday, October 17.

He added that this development was influenced by increased business activities, the construction of a number of projects, and the realization of the Government's budget according to the quarterly pattern.

Ramdan said that the production capacity used in the third quarter of 2025 was recorded at 73.84 percent, an increase compared to the second quarter of 2025 which was 73.58 percent.

According to him, the increase was supported by the majority of LU, especially the LU Mining and Excavation and LU Processing Industry.

Meanwhile, business finances in general are also still in good condition in terms of Liquidity and Rehabilitation, with easier credit access.

In addition, Ramdan said respondents predicted business activities in the fourth quarter of 2025 to continue to grow positively with an SBT of 10.53 percent.

Adapun kegiatan usaha pada mayoritas LU diprakirakan tetap tumbuh, terutama pada LU perdagangan besar dan eceran, dan reparasi mobil dan motor, LU transportasi dan pergudangan, LU penyediaan akomodasi dan makan minum, dan LU informasi dan komunikasi.

Menurutnya, hal ini sejalan dengan peningkatan aktivitas saat Hari Besar Keagamaan Nasional (HBKN) Natal dan libur akhir tahun.

Business activities in the majority of LU are predicted to continue to grow, especially in large and retail trade LUs, and repair cars and motorbikes, transportation and warehousing LUs, lu providing accommodation and food and drink, and LU information and communication.

According to him, this is in line with the increase in activity during the Christmas National Religious Holiday (HBKN) and year-end holidays.
