Planned To Have Complete Facilities, Phase II People's Schools Ready To Be Built In 104 Locations

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works (PU) said that phase II of the People's School (SR) would be built in 104 locations spread across Indonesia.

Quoted from the official Instagram account @kementerianpu, Wednesday, October 15, the construction of the SR phase II targets to accommodate more than 112,000 students, from elementary to high school.

"With a capacity of more than 112,000 students, from elementary, junior high to high school, these schools are spread across 104 locations throughout Indonesia, from Aceh to Papua," explained the account.

The distribution of the SR renovation work for phase II in 104 locations, namely Sumatra Island as many as 27 SR; Kalimantan Island 12 SR; Sulawesi Island 16 SR; Papua Island 3 SR; Java Island as many as 40 SR; Bali Island and Nusa Tenggara 3 SR; and in the Maluku Islands as many as 3 SR.

Later, the construction of the Phase II SR will be built with complete and environmentally friendly facilities. Covering laboratory rooms; library; teacher room; student dormitory/students; teacher dormitory/assistors; and kitchens.

Next, there is a canteen / place to eat; sports field; ceremonial field; school health unit (UKS); house of worship; and multipurpose building.

Then, play areas; parking; wastewater treatment plant (IPAL); fish farming ponds; greenhouse; and botanical gardens.

There are two alternatives that will be used by the Ministry of Public Works in the construction of the Phase II SR. First, the design of the SR topology with an area of 6.38 hectares (ha).

With this alternative, there will be sports facilities in it. Among other things, for indoors including multipurpose buildings, three badminton fields and one basketball court. Meanwhile, for the outdoor section, including a mini-sjoking and jogging track field.

The second alternative, namely the SR topological design with an area of 7.62 ha. For this alternative, the facilities to be built are the same as the first alternative. However, there will be an additional one international standard football field, two basketball/volley fields and six athletic tracks.

"The dormitory, complete, environmentally friendly and free facilities for children from poor families," he concluded.
