Ministry Of Energy And Mineral Resources And BPS Strengthen Data Recipients Of Energy Subsidies

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) signed a memorandum of understanding with the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) regarding the updating of the National Sole Social and Economic Data (DTSEN).

The provision of data and information is to support the duties and functions of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources and BPS through planning activities, data collection, processing, analysis, and presentation of exchange and utilization of data and/or information.

This is done to strengthen the use of DTSEN as a reference in recipients of 3 kg LPG subsidies, electricity subsidies and fuel.

BPS continued Bahlil, has a strategic role as a data reviewer who is a reference for the interests of the nation and state, therefore Bahlil asked BPS to uphold transparency in presenting the data presented.

"We are happy, today we signed the MoU, please present the actual data," said Bahlil, Tuesday, October 14.

Bahlil also asked BPS to show not only macro data but can also help calculate the economic and social impacts of the one-data policy, especially in the energy sector and mineral resources.

"We continue to intensively hold follow-up meetings with BPS related to subsidy data, LPG, fuel and electricity," he said.

Meanwhile, Head of BPS Amalia Adininggar Widyasanti said the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources and BPS was not just a ceremonial and administrative activity, but this was a strategic step from two institutions, namely the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources and also the Central Statistics Agency.

This collaboration, he continued, was carried out to strengthen joint commitments, regarding the importance of data, for planners, for policy formulation, which is more accurate, and data-based, building a national statistical system, requires integrated steps.

"Our vision at BPS at this time is, producing quality statistics, meaningful statistics, and impacting statistics, for that of course, we need data from various sources, and of course we are also responsible for ensuring that the data, and statistics generated by BPS, are statistical data, quality that can be further utilized for the basis of data-based policy making," explained Amalia.

Kelanjutan penandatanganan Nota Kesepahaman ini menjadi tonggak penting bagi penguatan kerja sama antara Kementerian ESDM dengan BPS dalam membangun sistem data energi dan sumber daya mineral yang akurat, terpadu, dan berkesinambungan sebagai dasar perumusan kebijakan nasional yang berbasis bukti (evidence-based policy).

Ruang lingkup MoU ini terkait dengan penyediaan data dan/atau informasi yang dibutuhkan dalam menunjang tugas dan fungsi Kementerian ESDM dan BPS melalui kegiatan perencanaan, pendataan, pengolahan, analisis, dan penyajian pertukaran dan pemanfaatan data dan/atau informasi yang telah tersedia di masing-masing lembaga.

The continuation of the signing of this Memorandum of Understanding is an important milestone for strengthening cooperation between the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources in building an accurate, integrated and sustainable mineral data and resource system as the basis for the formulation of evidence-based national policies (evidence-based policies).

This MoU scope is related to the provision of data and/or information needed to support the duties and functions of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources and BPS through planning, data collection, processing, analysis, and presentation of the exchange and utilization of data and/or information that has been available in each institution.
