Danantara Boss Reveals Investment Potential Can Reach IDR 4,150 Trillion In 2030

JAKARTA - The Danantara Investment Management Agency (BPI) revealed investment projections that can be made in the next five years.

The total value reaches IDR 4,150 trillion in 2030.

Initially, Danantara Indonesia CEO Rosan Roeslani said by increasing dividend donations from SOEs to US $ 10 billion or around Rp. 166 trillion (exchange rate of Rp. 16,603 per US dollar) per year in the next 5 years, Danantara's investment capacity could also increase.

Rosan said, Danantara could increase investment capacity by up to 40 billion US dollars or equivalent to Rp664 trillion without using debt and purely equity.

"So maybe in the next 5 years, we can invest up to 40 billion US dollars, that's without leverage, it's all equity funds," said Rosan at the Forbes Global CEO Conference 2025 event in Jakarta, Tuesday, October 14.

In fact, continued Rosan, if Danantara develops assets, the investment capacity could reach around US$250 million or equivalent to Rp4,150 trillion.

"If I have served four times, five times, then I have 200 to 250 billion US dollars for the next five years," he said.

Even so, Rosan admitted that Danantara Indonesia would only provide leverage or asset development when needed.

Selain melakukan investasi dari modal yang dimiliki, lanjutnya, Danantara akan melakukan investasi dengan membentuk dana investasi bersama dengan lembaga dana abadi atau sovereign wealth fund (SWF) dari berbagai negara.

“Sekarang kami sudah memiliki joint fund dengan beberapa SWF, dengan Qatar, QIA, dengan China, sekarang kita juga dalam proses dengan UAE, dengan PIF. Itu akan memberikan kita kekuatan lebih untuk berinvestasi di masa depan,” ujar Rosan.

In addition to making investments from their assets, he continued, Danantara will invest by forming investment funds together with endowment fund institutions or sovereign wealth funds (SWF) from various countries.

"Now we already have a joint fund with several SWFs, with Qatar, QIA, with China, now we are also in the process with the UAE, with PIFs. That will give us more power to invest in the future," said Rosan.
