Budget Absorption Of BGN-Ministry Of Public Works And Ministry Of Agriculture Still Below 50 Percent As Of September 2025

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Finance revealed that until the end of September 2025, there were three ministries/agencies (K/L) whose budget absorption rate was still below 50 percent.

The K/Ls are the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), the Ministry of Public Works (Kemen PU), and the Ministry of Agriculture (Kementan).

Deputy Minister of Finance Suahasil Nazara said that the total realization of K/L expenditures had reached Rp800.9 trillion, or around 62.8 percent of this year's K/L budget target of Rp1,275.6 trillion.

He also explained the details of spending from 15 K/L with the largest budget ceiling, but from this data, there are still three K/L whose absorption has not yet reached 50 percent.

"Some of the K/L with our large budget the absorption note is still below 50 percent. BGN as of September 30 is 16.9 percent, the Ministry of Public Works is slightly below 50 percent at 48.2 percent, and the Ministry of Agriculture at 32.8 percent," said Suahasil at the KiTa State Budget Press Conference, Tuesday, October 14.

Suahasil emphasized the importance of accelerating budget realization in the fourth quarter of 2025, and reminded K/L to immediately optimize the implementation of programs and projects, including the procurement of goods and services.

Even so, he also emphasized that the acceleration must still be accompanied by monitoring of the plan to use funds, as well as ensuring that payment for activities is carried out according to schedule.

Menurutnya, hal ini harus sejalan dengan prinsip tata kelola yang baik, efisiensi anggaran, dan identifikasi hambatan yang ada sebagai bagian dari upaya mitigasi.

"Kita memerlukan belanja di kuartal IV, namun kita juga terus mendorong efisien belanja di tiap kementerian/lembaga," katanya.

According to him, this must be in line with the principles of good governance, budget efficiency, and identification of existing obstacles as part of mitigation efforts.

"We need shopping in the fourth quarter, but we also continue to encourage efficient spending in each ministry/institution," he said.
