BOGOR - The Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu) projects that national economic growth in the third quarter of 2025 will still be able to reach 5.1 percent, although faced with various pressures during the period July to September 2025, including the bloody demonstration incident last August.
Director General of the Directorate General of Economic and Fiscal Strategy at the Ministry of Finance Febrio Nathan Kacaribu revealed that economic growth would be driven by export performance that showed a positive trend.
"The third quarter looks quite resilient, around 5 percent, 5.1 percent, because our exports are good," he said at the 2026 State Budget Complete Qualification Ceremony, Thursday, October 9.
As for the fourth quarter of 2025, Febrio added that the projected growth is still in line with the estimated Minister of Finance Purbaya Yudhi Sadives, which is 5.5 percent.

According to him, the acceleration of economic growth at the end of the year was driven by a series of fiscal stimulus from the government, coupled with the accommodative monetary policy implemented by Bank Indonesia.
"So that if our calculations are in the fourth quarter, it could reach around 5.5 percent growth," he said.
For information, the acceleration of Indonesia's economic growth has begun to be seen since the second quarter of 2025 which recorded growth of 5.12 percent or higher than the first quarter of 2025 which only grew by 4.87 percent.
