The Surge In KRL Users Reaches 418,899 People, The Around Monas Station Is Crowded During The TNI Anniversary

JAKARTA - KAI Commuter noted that until 13.00 WIB, 418,899 users had used the KRL Commuter Line service.

The mondition of a number of stations, especially those around the Monas area such as Juanda Station and Gondangdia Station, was observed to be crowded with users who were about to go to or return from the TNI Anniversary commemoration activities.

Of the total number, Juanda Station is recorded as the highest passenger volume station, which reaches 80,299 users, while Gondangdia Station records 32,308 users.

KAI Commuter's Public Relations Manager, Leza Arlan, said that there was a surge in users at the two stations.

"There was an increase of 7.1 percent of the total users who fell at Juanda Station on October 5, 2024," explained Leza in a statement, Sunday, October 5.

Meanwhile, the Manggarai transit station recorded the number of transit users as many as 98,521 people, and Tanah Abang Station as many as 50,530 people.

He explained that to maintain safety and comfort in the platform area, KAI Commuter is currently implementing user flow engineering at Juanda, Gondangdia, and Manggarai Stations, with the queue open-close system if the platform conditions are congested.

Therefore, Leza conveyed that KAI Commuter also urges users heading to or from the Monas area to consider alternative stations such as Sawah Besar, Sudirman, and BNI City Stations, to avoid overcrowding at Juanda Stations, and Gondangdia.

"The average location of this station is only 1.8 - 3 km from the Monas area, so it can be an alternative if there is a density at Juanda Station, Gondangdia Station, and Manggarai transit station," he explained.

Leza conveyed that KAI Commuter also reminds all users to always prioritize safety and security, be careful of luggage, and follow the directions of station officers.

"Especially for users who bring children, make sure the children are always under surveillance during the trip," he concluded.
