JAKARTA - Minister of Investment and Downstreaming/Head of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) Rosan Perkasa Roeslani will offer Indonesia's new and renewable energy (EBT) project, including the waste conversion project to energy (waste to energy) to investors.
"We will also present projects (EBT) and we hope that a business agreement can occur with strategic partners," said Rosan at the 2025 Indonesia International Sustainability Forum (IISF) Preparation meeting at the BKPM office, Jakarta, Wednesday, October 1.
Rosan said the government had announced about Indonesia's EBT projects to other countries, and there was high interest.
By showing off these projects at the 2025 IISF, Rosan hopes that prospective strategic partners can see firsthand the Indonesian EBT project.
"We have given them the sounding and the appetite is very good, the response is very, very high," he said.
Rosan also did not deny the high interest of foreign investors in waste to energy projects. He revealed that there was interest from investors from China, South Korea and Germany who were interested in participating in the project.
According to him, this interest is because waste to energy projects not only bring benefits, but also have an impact on the community.
"There are other positive impacts, from a health, environmental and social perspective. That is also considered, entering their calculations when making investments," concluded Rosan.
