Hutama Karya Targets MBG Kitchen Development In Jambi To Be Completed In October 2025

JAKARTA - PT Hutama Karya (Persero) targets a free nutritious kitchen (MBG) project or the Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG) in Jambi to be completed in October 2025.

Director General of Strategic Infrastructure of the Ministry of Public Works (PU) Bisma Staniarto explained, the SPPG will serve 3,000-3,500 MBG servings per day for students and beneficiaries around Jambi City.

"This facility is not only physical infrastructure, but also the foundation for improving the quality of community nutrition. We fully support the acceleration of completion so that the benefits are immediately felt by the people of Jambi," said Bisma in an official statement, quoted Monday, September 29.

Meanwhile, Executive Vice President (EVP) Corporate Secretary Hutama Karya Adjib Al Hakim said that the construction of the MBG Program public kitchen was the company's active role in presenting social facilities had a direct impact.

The entire construction process is carried out under strict supervision and collaboration between Hutama Karya, the Ministry of Public Works, the Jambi Provincial Government and the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) to ensure the quality and acceleration of the project according to the target, one of which is by adjusting the work schedule in the field so that the MBG Program in Jambi can be realized immediately.

The MBG kitchen is located near Sultan Thaha Saifuddin Airport and Muaro Sebapo Toll Gate (GT).

So that the distribution of fresh food to the kitchen and target schools becomes more efficient.

The facility is designed measuring 20\times20 meters with a layout that meets the provisions according to the minister's decision, including the separation of production, storage and distribution areas to ensure food safety.

Diketahui, pada tahap awal kerja sama pembangunan SPPG, Hutama Karya menggelontorkan anggaran sebesar Rp3,6 miliar.

"Proyek ini didesain multifungsi, meliputi dapur modern, ruang penyimpanan bahan baku, area kantor, dan area distribusi makanan sehat. Dapur umum program MBG ini juga mencakup ruang parkir, ruang serba guna dan sistem sanitasi modern, mendukung pemenuhan kebutuhan gizi dan kesehatan pelajar di Jambi," imbuhnya.

It is known, in the early stages of cooperation in the construction of the SPPG, Hutama Karya disbursed a budget of IDR 3.6 billion.

"This project is designed to be multifunctional, including modern kitchens, storage rooms for raw materials, office areas, and healthy food distribution areas. The public kitchen of the MBG program also includes parking spaces, multi-purpose rooms and modern sanitation systems, supporting the fulfillment of students' nutritional and health needs in Jambi," he added.
