JAKARTA - The government through the Coordinating Ministry for Food requires all Nutrition Fulfillment Service Units (SPPG) that provide Free Nutrition Food (MBG) to have a Sanitation Higiene Like Certificate (SHLS).
The Coordinating Minister for Food Zulkifli Hasan said that initially SHLS was one of the requirements that had to be met by the SPPG. However, he continued, because of the rampant cases of poisoning, it was a special concern.
Meanwhile, based on data from the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), currently there are 9,533 SPPGs spread across a number of Indonesian regions. Even so, it is not yet known how many SPPGs already have the SHLS.
"Indeed, the Sanitation Higiene Laik Certificate is a requirement, but after the end of the incident now it gets special attention. Every SPPG must have a SLHS," Zulhas said at a press conference at the Ministry of Health, Jakarta, Sunday, September 28.

"It will be checked. If this is not the case, it will happen again, it will happen again. The safety of our children is a top priority, SLHS is mandatory for all SPPGs," he said.
Not only that, Zulhas also asked Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin to order Puskesmas in all regions to actively monitor SPPG regularly.
"All steps are taken openly so that people believe the food served is safe, nutritious for all Indonesian people," he said.
