KESDM Says 4 Private Gas Stations Agree To Supply Base Fuel From Pertamina

Spokesperson for the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Dwi Anggia revealed that currently four of the five private business entities (BU) managing public gas stations (SPBU) have reached a business to business agreement (B2B) with PT Pertamina (Persero) regarding the supply of base fuel. Thus, there is only one fuel operator that has not reached an agreement with Pertamina.

"All requirements have been met by Pertamina, because if it should be good intentions to solve this problem so that the community can be served, then the B2B should be carried out immediately and the goods can be distributed immediately. Because the goods are already in Indonesia," said Anggia to the media crew, Friday, September 26.

Anggia said, when the agreement was reached, the supply of base fuel also arrived in Indonesia on Wednesday, September 24. In addition, the 'treal BBM' has also been tested by the Lemigas of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources and has met the specifications standards.

However, Anggia ensured that Pertamina did not take advantage of the agreement.

Furthermore, Dwi also emphasized that the government, in this case the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, only acts as a facilitator and cannot intervene in business agreements between business entities.

"The important thing is that our priority now is to provide goods in the community, to serve consumers," he continued.

Dwi Anggia said that later the evaluation of the import quota will consider the growth and market share of the private sector. This refers to Presidential Decree 61/2024 concerning Commodity Balance. Thus, in the future, private fuel operators will have to apply for import needs for 2026 this October.

"So if there is a term monopoly, one door import, it will not exist for 2026, and for this year there is also no one, only B2B mechanisms and collaborations that we run," said Dwi.
