JAKARTA - Young Scholarship Innovation (IMS) 2025 officially appointed 10 awardees from various universities in Indonesia. This scholarship aims to produce young leaders who are not only academically superior, but are also able to implement green initiative programs as a real contribution to the development of green jobs.
With the theme 'Let's Step Into Your Green Career', IMS 2025 encourages the younger generation to make sustainability part of their career journey. Since its opening at the beginning of the year, IMS 2025 has succeeded in attracting more than 600 registrants from various provinces and universities throughout Indonesia. After going through a selection process that includes the administrative stage, the bootcamp for the preparation of pitch decks, to interviews, finally 10 awards were selected. They came from various universities in Indonesia, including Gadjah Mada University, Bandung Institute of Technology, Sepuluh November Institute of Technology, Sriwijaya University, Hasanuddin University, Tidar University, Brawijaya University, to Airlangga University with diverse scientific discipline backgrounds.
Chairwoman of Young Innovation, Restu Andini, emphasized that IMS is not just an academic scholarship.
"The Young Scholarship innovation is designed to give birth to young leaders who are ready to build a sustainable future. Awardee not only gets financial support, but also mentoring, networks, and opportunities to run a real impact green initiative program. As part of coaching, Young Innovations organize Innovaction #4 & Gathering IMS in Lembang, West Java. This activity presents mentoring sessions and Green Jobs Class in the form of educational visits to the Bandung Nature Window. The awardes were introduced to hydroponic agricultural practices while being invited to reflect their role in supporting the green jobs ecosystem in Indonesia.
One of the IMS 2025 awardees, Praditya Haekal, an ITS Electric Engineering student, expressed her enthusiasm.
