PT Timah Reports Lowering In Ore And Metal Tin Production In Semester I-2025

JAKARTA - PT Timah Tbk (TINS) reported a decline in a number of company operational activities in the first semester of 2025.

The current President Director (Managing Director) of PT Timah is Restu Widiyantoro explained, in terms of ore production there was a decrease of 32 percent year on year from the previous 10,250 tons to only 6,997 tons.

"The reason is that the number of production equipment is quite significant, especially the production Isap Ship (KIP)," he said in a Hearing Meeting (RDP) with Commission VI of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Monday, September 22.

Meanwhile, based on the Company's Work Plan and Budget (RKAP), it is known that the ore production target in 2025 is 21,500.

Meanwhile, tin ore production in 2024 was recorded at 19,437 tons.

Restu explained, another reason for the decline in ore production was due to the intensity of the weather in 2025 which is more rainy season than in 2024.

"And also some locations we have not been able to enter, such as the Olivier Block in the Belitung Sea, the Batu Beriga Sea in Central Bangka and the Rias Sea in South Bangka," he explained.

He added that the decline in tin ore production also affected the decline in tin metal production in the first semester of 2025.

Tin metal production in the first 6 months of 2025 was recorded at 6,870 tons compared to the first semester of 2024 which was recorded at 9,675 or decreased by 29 percent yoy. Meanwhile, RKAP in 2025 was recorded at 21,545 tons.

In terms of metal sales, PT tin recorded that it had sold 5,983 tons of tin metal or decreased by 28 percent yoy compared to the first semester of 2024 which sold 8,299 metric tons.

Asal tahu saja, RKAP penjualan timah tahun 202 dipatok sebesar 19.065 metrik ton.

Meski produksi dan penjualan tim mengalami penurunan, TINS mencatat kenaikan harga jual rata-rata menjadi sebesar 32.816 dolar AS per metrik ton.

Angka ini meningkat sebesar 8 persen yoy dari semester I 2024 yang tercat sebesar 30.397 dolar AS per ton.

Pencapaian ini juga tercatat lebih tingi dari RKAP 2025 yang dipatok sebesar 29.000 dolar AS per ton.

Just so you know, the 202 lead sales RKAP is set at 19,065 metric tons.

Although the team's production and sales have decreased, TINS recorded an average increase in selling prices to US$32,816 per metric ton.

This figure increased by 8 percent yoy from the first semester of 2024 which was recorded at 30,397 US dollars per ton.

This achievement was also recorded more than RKAP 2025 which was pegged at 29,000 US dollars per ton.
