JAKARTA - PT Timah Tbk recorded a decrease in profit in the first semester of 2025 to Rp300.06 billion. This figure has decreased by 30.93 percent when compared to the profit achievement in the first semester of its sebum year which was recorded at Rp434.46 billion.
The decrease in net profit is in line with the decline in PT Timah Tbk's revenue from the previous Rp5.21 trillion to Rp4.21 trillion in the first half of 2025.

He explained that PT Timah's Interest Bearing Debt (IBD) was also at IDR 1.38 trillion in the first semester of 2025 or decreased by 27 percent from the same period the previous year which was in the range of IDR 3.03 trillion.
"This is already better, of course, than last year. So, we are trying to pay off our debts so that they do not become a burden of operation or in financial activities," he explained.
On the other hand, PT Timah also recorded a decrease in tin ore production from 10,250 tons of tin to only 6,997 tons of tin from January to June this year or a decrease of 32 percent.
"The cause is a significant number of production equipment, especially the production Isap Ship (KIP)," he continued.
Meanwhile, based on the Company's Work Plan and Budget (RKAP), it is known that the ore production target in 2025 is 21,500. Meanwhile, tin ore production in 2024 was recorded at 19,437 tons.
Nur Adi Kuncoro explained, another reason for the decline in ore production was due to the intensity of the weather in 2025 which is more rainy season than in 2024.
"And also some locations we have not been able to enter, such as the Olivier Block in the Belitung Sea, the Batu Beriga Sea in Central Bangka and the Rias Sea in South Bangka," he explained.

He added that the decline in tin ore production also affected the decline in tin metal production in the first semester of 2025. tin metal production in the first 6 months of 2025 was recorded at 6,870 tons compared to the first semester of 2024 which was recorded at 9,675 or decreased by 29 percent yoy.
