Erick Thohir To Employees Of The Ministry Of SOEs: Support Danantara

JAKARTA Erick Thohir said goodbye to the big family of the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) in line with the transition of his duties as Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora).

During the moment of the separation, Erick left an important message for the Ministry of SOEs to support the presence of Danantara, a strategic investment institution initiated by President Prabowo Subianto.

"Mr. President is now pushing for Danantara's birth, this is an investment force for our future. You have to support it. I entrust it. We are a big family," he said during a farewell ceremony with employees of the Ministry of SOEs, at Danareksa Tower, Jakarta, Friday, September 19.

Erick emphasized that the transformation carried out in BUMN is not only building corporations, but also building a complete human being.

He also mentioned the struggle of employees who work without knowing the time, even during the COVID-19 pandemic, to ensure major changes in the BUMN sector can run.

The humanities built by us are all extraordinary. That's us. Humans who work. But humans who have empathy. Humans who work hard. But he knows his interests for many parties. Not himself. That's you. That's our courage," he said.

Erick juga menitipkan pesan kepada para pegawai Kementerian BUMN untuk memegang teguh jati diri yang sudah terbangun ini.

Bahkan, dia meminta agar para pegawai memacu diri untuk menjadi lebih baik lagi.

“Saya titip, jangan ubah jati diri kalian. Justru kalian harus lebih bagus lagi. Karena Indonesia perlu orang-orang bagus. Bangsa ini perlu orang-orang bagus,” ujar Erick.

Dengan suara bergetar, Erick menutup sambutannya. Ia menyampaikan permohonan maaf dan rasa terima kasih kepada seluruh insan BUMN.

“Selama 6 tahun saya di sini. Saya mohon maaf. Mohon maaf. Kalau ada kata-kata saya yang salah. Kalau ada sikap saya yang salah. Tapi itu semua untuk kemajuan kita. Untuk bangsa kita,” ucapnya seraya membungkukkan badan.

Erick also left a message to employees of the Ministry of SOEs to uphold the identity that has been built.

In fact, he asked the employees to encourage themselves to be even better.

"I entrust you, don't change your identity. Instead you have to be even better. Because Indonesia needs good people. This nation needs good people," said Erick.

With a trembling voice, Erick closed his speech. He apologized and thanked all BUMN personnel.

"For 6 years I was here. I apologize. Sorry. If there are words I am wrong. If there is a wrong attitude, I will. But it is all for our progress. For our nation," he said while bowing himself.
