Deputy Minister Of KP Calls The Uploader Of The Beton Cilincing Embankment Video Is An Immigrant

JAKARTA - Deputy Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (KP) Didit Herdiawan Ashaf said that the existence of a concrete embankment on the Cilincing Coast, North Jakarta, already has an Approval for the Compliance of Marine Spatial Utilization Activities (PKKPRL) since 2023.

Then, said Didit, the construction of the embankment has begun in 2024.

"For those that are viral in Cilincing, of course there will be (permit) PKKPRL 2023 and the implementation of these development activities in 2024. And have mitigated and provided CSR to local residents until they are finished and carried out socialization activities," said Didit in a Working Meeting (Raker) with Commission IV of the DPR RI at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Tuesday, September 16.

Didit said that there were newcomers who came to Cilincing, so the government needed to mitigate.

"However, there are residents there who have just arrived. Therefore, today the local government is mitigating to be able to see which ID cards are immigrants, which are natives of the area," he said.

Meanwhile, the Director General of Marine and Fishery Resources Supervision (PSDKP) Pung Nugroho Saksono or Ipunk said, the function of the concrete embankment is to break the wave or breakwater to anchor the ship.

Regarding the loss of fishermen, said Ipunk, PT KCN has provided Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds to provide scholarships for fishermen's children there.

Based on information obtained from the fishing group there, Ipunk said, the person who uploaded the video of the concrete embankment was not a local native.

"Earlier, the video was indeed, according to fishermen, 'not our citizens, sir'," explained Ipunk.

Ipunk explained that KCN was established through a joint venture scheme between PT Karya Teknik Utama and PT Kawasan Berikat Nusantara. KCN as the manager of public ports is under the supervision, regulation and granting of permits by the Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub).

KCN also has the status of a concession partner for 70 years in infrastructure development and port operations.

"That's why the Department of Marine Affairs and Fisheries from the Regional Government will carry out mitigation related to population. So, if they are going to finance their children's schools until graduation, maybe college," he explained.

Previously, social media was shocked by the existence of a concrete embankment in the coastal area of Cilincing, North Jakarta. The existence of the embankment was recorded in a video uploaded to the Instagram account @cilinginfo.

The video was recorded by a fisherman from the boat. You can see concrete with a length of 2-3 kilometers which seems to divide the waters on the north coast of Jakarta. The fisherman revealed that he had to go long to get to the ocean in order to find fish.

"The concrete embankment on the Cilincing Coast makes it difficult for coastal fishermen to pass. There are approximately 2-3 kilometers long. Initially, it was difficult for fishermen to find fish because they had to turn far away from the concrete embankment," said a fisherman in the video.
