Rumored To Be Layoff Employees Due To Empty Fuel, Shell Indonesia Opens Voice

JAKARTA - Shell Indonesia has opened its voice regarding the issue of terminating employment (PHK) due to the vacancy in fuel stocks since last August.

President Director & Managing Director of Mobility, Shell Indonesia, Ingrid Siburian, in his statement said that his party had indeed adjusted operational activities at the Shell gas station network as long as gasoline-type fuel products were not available in a long way.

"We made adjustments, including adjustments to operating hours and teams tasked with serving customers," said Ingrid, Tuesday, September 16.

Meanwhile, regarding the presence of Shell gas stations that are not operating due to the non-availability of several gasoline-type fuel products in several Shell gas stations, Inggrid also admitted that his party had adjusted operating activities.

"We are making adjustments to operational activities at the Shell gas station network as long as gasoline-type fuel products are not fully available, including adjustments to operating hours and teams in charge of serving customers," he explained.

Kendati demikian, Inggrid memastikan SPBU Shell tetap melayani pelanggan dengan produk BBM yang masih tersedia dan layanan lainnya; termasuk Shell Select, Shell Recharge, bengkel, dan pelumas Shell.

"Shell Indonesia senantiasa berupaya untuk memastikan kelancaran pendistribusian dan penyediaan produk BBM di jaringan SPBU Shell. Kami terus berkoordinasi dengan berbagai pemangku kepentingan terkait untuk memastikan produk BBM jenis bensin dapat tersedia kembali," tandas Inggrid.

Nevertheless, Ingrid ensures that Shell gas stations continue to serve customers with fuel products that are still available and other services; including Shell Select, Shell Recharge, workshop, and Shell lubricant.

"Shell Indonesia always strives to ensure the smooth distribution and provision of fuel products in the Shell gas station network. We continue to coordinate with various relevant stakeholders to ensure that gasoline-type fuel products can be re-available," said Inggrid.
