Jasa Marga President Director, Rivan Achmad Purwantono, apologized to all road users for the disruption of service and temporary closure at seven Toll Gates (GT) on the Cawang 'Pluit' Toll Road due to demonstrations that have occurred since Friday, August 29, 2025.

"We understand the significant impact felt by road users and apologize for the inconvenience that has arisen. The safety and comfort of users remains our top priority," Rivan said in a statement to the media, Saturday, August 30.

He explained that the incident, which initially took place in a public area, developed until entering the toll road at night, with the crowd entering access around the Kuningan, Semanggi, and Senayan areas.

The impact of this action was the burning at seven toll gates and damage to toll road support facilities, including water barrier, rubber cone, Median Concrete Barrier (MCB), CCTV units, and other operational support facilities. This condition makes part of the on ramp access unable to function normally and results in a temporary closure to ensure user safety.

We are also concerned about this incident and respectfully apologize to all affected road users. Our operational team works relentlessly with security forces to take initial and service recovery measures. Our current priority is to ensure the toll road is safe to cross and restore gate functions and supporting facilities as quickly and safely as possible," Rivan said.

He ensured that Jasa Marga had placed a maintenance team in the field to conduct sweeps, clean up the remains of the arson, as well as assess the condition of the gate structure and toll road infrastructure.

Jasa Marga also coordinates intensively with related parties to ensure location security and determine when conditions are safe for reopening segments. All repair measures are carried out in accordance with toll road operating safety standards and applicable technical procedures.

"We urge all road users to continue to comply with the directions of field officers and take advantage of the designated alternative routes until conditions are declared safe," he said.
