Dony Oskaria Explains The Role Of Danantara In Supporting MSMEs Upgrading Class: Financing, To Market Access

JAKARTA - Danantara Indonesia's Chief Operating Officer (COO), Dony Oskaria revealed the role of Danantara to support Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to advance to class.

Furthermore, Dony revealed, three forms of Danantara support. Starting from financing, market access to assistance to MSME players.

"The direction of the President must be full cycle, so we cannot do it partially, for example giving the market but not supported by financing," said Dony at the People's Party for Indonesia, at the Smesco Indonesia Building, Jakarta, Friday, August 22.

"But as well as if the financing exists, the market is not opened nor difficult for them, from all of them, including coaching. So we will do this triangle for MSMEs," he continued.

Dony said support for MSMEs was needed. This is because 60 percent of Indonesia's economy is contributed by MSMEs. Therefore, he said the sustainability of MSMEs is very important.

In the financing aspect, continued Dony, Danantara distributed various facilities to strengthen business capital. He said, the available schemes ranged from people's business loans (KUR), the Mekaar program, to financing with Intellectual Property Rights guarantees (HKI).

Based on the data presented, KUR distribution was recorded at IDR 184.98 trillion in 2024. Meanwhile, the Mekaar program is targeted to reach 15 million customers with a value of IDR 337 trillion by June 2025.

"In terms of financing, however, we try, of course we need assistance or support for capital numbers. We have KUR, there is a Mekaar program that we can use to increase our capital," he said.

Not only financing support, but Dony said Danantara also acts as a liaison for MSMEs with a wider market. Through consolidation with SOEs, Danantara opens wider space so that MSMEs can enter the big business supply chain.

"Earlier, we wanted this MSME with the BUMN consolidation process, we would open up more space to MSMEs to cooperate with Danaantara. Because automatically we will release many fields to MSMEs," he explained.

For example, said Dony, the routine needs of 130 hotels and more than 80 hospitals owned by state-owned companies can be supplied by MSMEs. Starting from towel soap to others.

"Then later we will also become a market for MSMEs with the consolidation process, with us having hotels, 130 hotels, hospitals, we will optimize this for amenty and others from MSMEs," said Dony.

Then, continued Dony, the third role is coaching. He said Danantara has a Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) program, human resource training (HR), as well as business and digital assistance. The initiatives carried out include Young Independent Entrepreneurs, BRIncubators, and PADI Telkom MSMEs.
