Ahead Of The 50th Anniversary, Summarecon Inaugurates The Fasum Surgery Program And Implementation Of 500 Houses

PT Summarecon Agung Tbk (Summarecon) further strengthens the company's social commitment by launching the Public Facilities Surgery program (School Renovation, Health Centers and Other Infrastructures) as well as the Surgeon program (Renovation) 500 Houses in collaboration with the Ministry of Housing and Settlement Areas of the Republic of Indonesia, the Provincial Government of West Java, and the Buddhist Tzu Chi Foundation of Indonesia.

The launch of this program was officially carried out on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at SDN Harapan Mulya 1 Bekasi City which was attended by the Minister of Housing and Settlement Areas of the Republic of Indonesia Maruarar Sirait, Governor of West Java Dedi Mulyadi and his staff, Deputy Chairperson of the Buddhist Tzu Chi Foundation Indonesia, Sugianto Kusuma along with volunteers from the Buddhist Tzu Chi Foundation Indonesia, Commissioner of PT Summarecon Agung Tbk., Liliawati Rahardjo, President Director of PT Summarecon Agung Tbk., Adrianto P. Adhi, along with Commissioner and Directors Summarecon, and residents of aid recipients.

This activity is part of the corporate social responsibility initiative (CSR) which is used as momentum in the series of events for Summarecon's 50th Anniversary.

President Director of PT Summarecon Agung Tbk, Adrianto P. Adhi said. His party carried out CSR activities in the form of renovations of uninhabitable houses in Bekasi Regency and City. A total of 500 houses were renovated as part of the 4,000 Houses Surgeon Program initiated by the Buddhist Tzu Chi Foundation Indonesia.

"Summarecon participated through the invitation of the Buddhist Tzu Chi Foundation Indonesia by choosing the Bekasi City and Regency area as the location of the implementation. This program is also in line with the Government Priority Program run by the Ministry of Housing and Settlement Areas of the Republic of Indonesia," he explained.

In addition to house renovations, Summarecon also repairs public facilities such as schools, health centers, clinics, and other infrastructure that are fundamental needs and concerns the lives of many people. Thus, Summarecon's contribution can bring tangible benefits that are directly felt by the people around the area.

"More than that, Summarecon is also committed to human development through various programs, including providing scholarships, educational facilities assistance, the Summarecon Teaching program which emphasizes the importance of Budi Pekerti, to the implementation of free cataract operations in collaboration with various partners," he said.

For the initial stage, Summarecon conducted a Public Facilities Surgery Renovation Program at SDN Harapan Mulya 1 Bekasi City as well as being the location for the inauguration of the public facility renovation program which was simultaneously carried out in various areas of Summarecon development. This program will be carried out in stages until 2045 by renovating 11 facilities in the first year, and in the following year renovating 2 facilities each year to reach a total of 50 public facilities.

The Surgeon 500 House program was carried out by dividing 250 units in 11 sub-districts of Bekasi City and 250 units in 13 sub-districts of Bekasi Regency. The implementation of this program is based on data on uninhabitable houses obtained from the Bekasi City and Regency Governments. The data was later verified by the Buddhist Tzu Chi Foundation Indonesia with Summarecon, before finally renovating the house by Summarecon.

Summarecon is not only focused on physical development, but also on human development. Various programs are carried out as a form of commitment, including the provision of scholarships for elementary to college levels in schools that have been renovated or through various social foundations. In addition, Summarecon also distributed educational support tools in the form of practicum tools, books, and other learning facilities.

Through the Summarecon Teaching program, the values of characterism are also instilled in students. In the health sector, Summarecon also presents the Free Cataract Operations program which will begin in October, in collaboration with the Indonesian Tzu Chi Buddhist Foundation and the Teguh United Association.

In conducting renovations on public facilities and house renovations, Summarecon involved various external parties and project workers to carry out these activities.

Director of PT Summarecon Agung Tbk, Sharif Benjamin explained, "In this activity we involve project workers who we call building artists to renovate houses and public facilities. Renovations are carried out by referring to the standardization of Summarecon development, which emphasizes safety, comfort, and sustainability.

These building artists are taught to work with respect for the environment and local residents, by maintaining a conducive cleanliness and work atmosphere. In addition, they are also provided with provision of healthy living and assistance by Summarecon Peduli volunteers.

The program of concern at the moment of Summarecon's 50th birthday is expected to improve the quality of life of the community and also become a source of happiness, security, and new hope for many families.
