Kadin Holds Initial National Coordination Meeting In The Field Of MSMEs And Cooperatives

JAKARTA - The Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) held a National Coordination Meeting (Rakornas) for MSMEs and Cooperatives in 2025 to affirm its commitment to strengthen the role of MSMEs and cooperatives as the main foundation of the people's economy.

Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Anindya Bakrie, said that MSMEs and cooperatives are national economic supporters who are in line with the mandate of the nation's founders.

He emphasized that Bung Karno and Bung Hatta's mandate of independence and cooperatives as golden bridges to prosperity must be realized in the form of real policies.

"Kadin is present as a strategic partner for the government as well as the auspices of the business world, including MSMEs and cooperatives, which amount to more than 60 million perpetrators and 130.000 cooperatives throughout Indonesia," said Anindya, quoted on Wednesday, August 20.

The National Chamber of Commerce and Industry Coordination Meeting also emphasized its support for the agenda for the development of the people's economy which places cooperatives as aggregators and MSMEs as the backbone of the national supply chain.

Anin said, the Free Nutrition Food Program (MBG) is a real example of the government's alignment, which according to Kadin is able to move more than half a trillion rupiahs of investment in the regions, involve thousands of public kitchens, as well as open up new markets for chicken farmers, eggs, to fruit suppliers and milk at the local level.

MSME Minister Maman Abdurrahman emphasized that President Prabowo's affirmative policy through a budget allocation of IDR 335 trillion for the MBG program is fully in favor of small business actors.

Each public kitchen requires an investment of between IDR 500 million to IDR 2 billion, with an average of 20 local suppliers involved. This forms a new business ecosystem that really revives the people's economy at the village and sub-district levels," he said.

Furthermore, the Ministry of MSMEs is preparing the 'Sapa UMKM' system as a super-aplication to map the needs and constraints of millions of business actors. This system will be an entry point for financing, certification, and marketing services so that MSMEs can truly get quality access.

The People's Business Credit Program (KUR) is now directed so that 60 percent of distribution is allocated to the production sector so as to provide a wider multiplier effect for employment and strengthening the national supply chain.

Momentum Rakornas ini turut mendapatkan dukungan penuh dari berbagai sponsor strategis, mulai dari BRI, Mandiri, BTN, dan BSI yang berkomitmen menyediakan akses pembiayaan inklusif bagi UMKM, hingga Pupuk Indonesia yang mendukung ketahanan pangan berbasis koperasi desa.

Dukungan juga datang dari Tripa (PT Asuransi Tripakarta) yang menghadirkan layanan proteksi usaha, serta WONDR yang mengedepankan solusi digital untuk pemasaran produk UMKM.

Rakornas Kadin menjadi forum penting untuk memperkuat konsolidasi antara dunia usaha dan pemerintah dalam mempercepat transformasi ekonomi kerakyatan.

Kadin menekankan bahwa koperasi Desa Merah Putih serta koperasi modern berbasis digital akan menjadi agregator yang menjembatani jutaan UMKM dengan offtaker besar, mulai dari distribusi pangan, pupuk, hingga energi.

This National Coordination Meeting momentum also received full support from various strategic sponsors, ranging from BRI, Mandiri, BTN, and BSI who are committed to providing access to inclusive financing for MSMEs, to Pupuk Indonesia which supports food security based on village cooperatives.

Support also came from Tripa (PT Asuransi Tripakarta) which provides business protection services, as well as WONDR which prioritizes digital solutions for marketing MSME products.

The National Coordination Meeting of Kadin is an important forum to strengthen consolidation between the business world and the government in accelerating the transformation of the people's economy.

Kadin emphasized that the Merah Putih Village cooperative and digital-based modern cooperatives will become aggregator that bridges millions of MSMEs with large offtakers, ranging from food distribution, fertilizer, to energy.
