Prabowo Reveals Leaks Of State Assets Threatening Indonesia To Become A Failed Country

JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto expressed his concern that Indonesia could be threatened with becoming a failed country if the state's wealth leaks were not stopped immediately.

He assessed that Indonesia is currently in a serious condition called the net outflow of national wealth or the outflow of national wealth.

"Currently we are facing the reality of a leak of our country's wealth on a very large scale. We are experiencing conditions that I call the net outflow of national wealth," he said at the MPR RI Annual Session and the 2025 DPR-DPD RI Joint Session, at the DPR Building, Parliament Complex, Jakarta, Friday, August 15.

He emphasized that the current government chose not to focus on searching for the party to blame, but to prioritize the search for concrete solutions that could be implemented immediately.

"Let's not waste our energy looking for the wrong thing, we don't have time, we don't have enough energy to find people's mistakes. The government that I lead must try to find the right and fast solution to this main problem," he continued.

Prabowo likens a nation like a human body that experiences constant bleeding and if not treated immediately, the body could lose its life.

He added that as well as the nation, if national wealth continues to flow abroad without control, then Indonesia's potential to fall into a failed country will become a real thing.

Untuk mengatasi hal itu, Prabowo menyatakan dirinya siap mengambil langkah-langkah penting, meskipun keputusan tersebut mungkin tidak disukai oleh sebagian kalangan.

Ia menegaskan komitmennya untuk menjaga dan mengelola kekayaan negara demi kepentingan seluruh rakyat Indonesia, baik generasi saat ini maupun yang akan datang.

"Saya harus mengambil langkah-langkah untuk menyelematkan kekayaan negara agar bisa digunakan untuk kepentingan bangsa kita di hari ini dan esok. Untuk kepentingan generasi sekarang dan generasi mendatang," pungkasnya.

To overcome this, Prabowo stated that he was ready to take important steps, although the decision may not be liked by some circles.

He emphasized his commitment to safeguarding and managing the country's wealth in the interests of all Indonesian people, both the current and future generations.

"I have to take steps to save the country's wealth so that it can be used for the benefit of our nation today and tomorrow. For the benefit of the current generation and future generations," he concluded.
