JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto revealed that he received a number of reports from law enforcement officials (APH) that until now there are still 1063 illegal mines throughout Indonesia.

For this reason, Prabowo firmly stated that he would curb all mines that have the potential to harm the country by hundreds of trillions.

"After this we will also arrange mines that violate the rules, I have been reported by the authorities that there are 1,063 illegal mines," said Pabowo in his speech at the 2025 MPR and DPR Annual Sessions held at the Parliament Building, Senayan, Friday, August 15.

Prabowo said the potential loss to the state of all mines is estimated at IDR 300 trillion. To eradicate this illegal mine, Prabowo asked the MPR and the DPR as well as all political parties to help the government save the country's wealth.

Prabowo also admitted that he would not be indiscriminate in eradicating all kinds of violations, including those committed by 'big people' such as the TNI General, PolRI, and even former generals.

"Whether it is a general from the TNI or a general from the police or a former general, there is no reason we will act on behalf of the people," he continued.

Prabowo also invited all members of the political party, including his party, Gerindra, to become a justice collaborator if they were involved in cases of violation and corruption.

"There is just a report, because you Gerindra I will not protect you, brothers and sisters," he said.

"If the people are mining, we have made a cooperative, we arranged it, we legalize it, but don't let people think that they have smuggled hundreds of trillions," he said.
