MBG Program Capai 18 Million Beneficiaries, BGN Gaspol Focus 3T

JAKARTA - Kepapa Badan Nutritional (BGN), Dadan Hindayana said, until now, as many as 18 million people have received the benefits of the Free Nutrition Food Program (MBG).

Then, as many as 5,325 Nutrition Fulfillment Service Units (SPPG) have operated in 38 provinces, 502 districts, and 4,770 sub-districts throughout Indonesia.

"Alhamdulillah, today, this morning, there have been 5,325 Nutrition Fulfillment Service Units throughout Indonesia, in 38 provinces, in 502 districts, and 4,770 sub-districts. If one SPPG serves 3,500, that means more than 18 million can already be served by us," he said in NgobrolIndonesia which was broadcast online, Thursday, August 14.

Dadan said, initially the government's target with a budget of IDR 71 trillion only served a maximum of 17.5 million beneficiaries. However, President Prabowo Subianto requested that this program be extended to reach as many as 82.9 million beneficiaries this year.

For now, Dadan continued, of the 23,000 SPPG submissions, 18,000 have been verified, while the other 5,000 are still waiting for the process.

"Especially related to the speed to verify the existing proposals because of the 18,000 that we have verified, while there are still queues that we have not verified about 5,000 and that takes time," he explained.

"Now we focus first on being verified and we have just coordinated with all local governments so that regional acceleration can be carried out," continued Dadan.

BGN Focuses On 3T Regions After August

In addition, the Head of BGN received a lot of input from various sources so that the priority of the MBG Program was given to the outermost, underdeveloped, and frontier (3T) areas. However, the area will only begin to focus on August.

"Alhamdulillah, we already have 33,000 human resources who have been educated and ready to be deployed throughout Indonesia. After pursuing the target this August, we will focus on the 3T area. Directly gaspol so that all of them will be completed in October and the infrastructure will be completed," he said.
