Distribution Of Slow SPHP Rice, Bulog Boss: Use Applications, Not All Immediately Fast

JAKARTA - Perum Bulog admits that the distribution of rice Stability for Supply and Food Prices (SPHP) is still minimal. Of the total target this year of 1.3 million tons, the realization of distribution has only reached 16,742 tons.

SPHP rice is one of the government's programs to intervene in high rice prices.

The rice is sold in 5 kilograms (kg) packaging at a price according to the highest retail price (HET) of medium rice of IDR 12,500 per kg or IDR 62,500 per 5 kg.

President Director of Perum Bulog Ahmad Rizal Ramdhani said that one of the reasons for the distribution of SPHP was still minimal due to problems with the use of an application called Klik SPHP.

He said that a number of traders or retailers had difficulty using the application because they were not used to using gadgets. Moreover, there are still many old traders' gadgets.

"That's right (it's still far from the target). Indeed, one because all of this uses an application (Klik SPHP), not everything can be fast. Sorry, it takes socialization, friends who retail in the market are old, the cellphone is old, so there are no adroid cellphones and so on," he said when met at the Office of the Coordinating Ministry for Food Affairs, Jakarta, Wednesday, August 13.

Even so, Rizal said, Bulog employees in each region helped retailers using the application.

Apart from the use of the application, Rizal said that retailers also have limitations because they are only limited to a maximum of 2 tons of SPHP rice.

So the retailers must follow the SPHP rules. Registered, then you can order there too. Then if you have registered, you can order per retailer, the maximum message per retailer can be ordered 2 tons. If it's not allowed, according to the capabilities of each retailer. Because the retailer has different abilities," he explained.

Therefore, Rizal said that his party continues to help traders to get SPHP rice as well as to speed up distribution. The trick is that Bulog's warehouses in each region also participate in selling SPHP rice.

"Our name is that we sell this limited amount, until we sell Bulog warehouses in the area as well as selling, market operations, bringing trucks to markets," he said.

Previously, it was reported that Perum Bulog reported that the realization of distribution or distribution of rice Stability for Supply and Food Prices (SPHP) had only reached 16,742 tons or the equivalent of 1.27 percent of the target of 1.3 million tons by December 2025.

The realization was conveyed by the Director of the Supply Chain and Public Service of Perum Bulog, Suyamto at the Regional Inflation Control Coordination Meeting, as reported by the Ministry of Home Affairs' YouTube, Monday, August 11.

"Regarding the implementation of the SPHP, it is true that the realization of the SPHP position per day has reached 16,742 or still around 1 percent of the assignment from July to December," said Suyamto.

Suyamto revealed that the province with the highest realization of SPHP rice distribution was South Sulawesi with a total of 1,805 tons. Then followed by East Java with 1,329 tons.

"The lowest is in South Papua with 930 tons, Southwest Papua with 487 tons, and DKI Jakarta with 603 tons," he said.
