Bulog Admits Realization Of New SPHP Rice Distribution 1.27 Percent

JAKARTA - Perum Bulog reports that the realization of distribution or distribution of rice Stability for Supply and Food Prices (SPHP) has only reached 16,000 tons or the equivalent of 1.27 percent of the target of 1.3 million tons by December 2025.

The realization was conveyed by the Director of the Supply Chain and Public Service of Perum Bulog, Suyamto at the Regional Inflation Control Coordination Meeting, as reported by the Ministry of Home Affairs' YouTube, Monday, August 11.

"Regarding the implementation of the SPHP, it is true that the realization of the SPHP position per day has reached 16,742 or still around 1 percent of the assignment from July to December," said Suyamto.

Suyamto revealed that the province with the highest realization of SPHP rice distribution was South Sulawesi with a total of 1,805 tons. Then followed by East Java with 1,329 tons.

"The lowest is in South Papua with 930 tons, Southwest Papua with 487 tons, and DKI Jakarta with 603 tons," he said.

Furthermore, Suyamto said the channel used for the distribution of the most SPHP rice through retailers in the people's market reached a total of 3,223 partners with 96,000 tons. Then the outlet assisted by Regional Government 722 outlets with a total of 154,000 tons.

"Then there are government agencies through GPM activities (cheap food movements), these government agencies are the TNI, Polri, then other agencies have distributed 326 points," he said.

Based on data presented by Bulog, modern retail became the lowest SP HP rice sales channel with 12 partners and distribution reached 19 tons. Then, low-cost food operations were only 840 kilograms (kg).

Suyamto said that apart from distributing SPHP rice through the channel, Bulog also made a program by issuing 5 tons of SPHP rice in each warehouse.

"So if we look at 504 warehouse complexes of Perum Bulog every day we ask them to issue a warehouse of 5 tons. They travel around, it can be in the market, then it can be at crowded points. This is one of our efforts to increase the volume of the number of SPHPs that were not covered by the channels," he said.
