BRI Achieves ASEAN Corporate Governance Scorecard (ACGS) Award, Proof Of Superior Governance Commitment

JAKARTA - PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk or BRI continues to affirm its commitment to implementing the principles of Good Corporate Governance (GCG). This is evidenced by the achievement of prestigious awards as well as at the ASEAN Corporate Governance Scorecard (ACGS) 2024, namely as the TOP 5 Public Listed Companies (PLC) Indonesia and the ASEAN Asset Class PLC.

The award was given at the Corporate Governance Conference and Awards organized by the ASEAN Capital Markets Forum (ACMF) and Minority Shareholders Watch Group (MSWG) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Thursday (24/7).

ASEAN Corporate Governance Scorecard is a regional initiative that provides an independent assessment of the implementation of governance of public companies in ASEAN countries. This year, the assessment process was carried out against 569 public companies with a large market capitalization in the ASEAN region. The assessment is carried out strictly with a standardized methodology agreed by all capital market regulators in ASEAN.

This award is given to companies that are considered superior in terms of transparency, accountability, and the application of high governance standards. ACGS also encourages companies to continue to align governance frameworks with the best practices admitted at the ASEAN level.

BRI's Human Capital & Compliance Director Ahmad Solichin Lutfiyanto expressed his appreciation for this achievement. According to him, the award is an acknowledgment of BRI's consistency in instilling GCG values in every company's business process.

"BRI has consistently ensured the implementation of integrated and sustainable GCGs in all organizational lines, from the Board of Commissioners, Directors, to all BRILian Personnel. This is an important basis for BRI to continue to grow sustainably, provide added value for stakeholders, and strengthen our contribution to the national economy," said Solichin.

Solichin added that BRI will continue to accelerate the strengthening of corporate governance according to standards (best practice) at the national, regional and international levels.
