Ministry Of Public Works: Yogya Palace Land Rental Fee For This Toll Project Is IDR 160 Billion

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works (PU) said that the Ngayogyakarta Sultanate would lease the Sultan Ground area of 320,000 square meters for the construction of the Yogyakarta Toll Road and the Solo 'Yogyakarta' Toll Road 'Kulon Progo.

Director General of Highways of the Ministry of Public Works, Roy Rizali Anwar, said that the cost of renting Sultan Ground's land during the 40-year concession period was set at IDR 160 billion.

"Approximately (the rental fee) is Rp160 billion for 320,000 meters during the concession, yes," said Roy when met at the PU Ministry office, Jakarta, Monday, July 21.

Roy ensured that Sultan Ground's land rental costs would be borne by the related Toll Road Business Entity (BUJT), in this case PT Jasamarga Jogja Bawen and PT Jasamarga Jogja Solo.

As an incentive, the investment costs will be calculated for the imposition of toll tariffs and the extension of concessions to the BUJT of the two sections.

Previously, the collaboration between the Ngayogyakarta Hadiningrat Palace, the Directorate General of Highways of the Ministry of Public Works and BUJT was stated in the Kawat Kekancingan issued by Sultan Hamengkubuwono X as a symbol of cooperation in the development of toll roads on land owned by the Sultanate of Yogyakarta.

The agreement explains that of the total land of the Ngayogyakarta Sultanate covering an area of 320,000 square meters, 75,440.75 square meters of which will be used to support the construction of the Yogyakarta 'Bawen Toll Road.

The land used for the Yogyakarta 'Bawen Toll Road consists of 90 plots of village land and 8 of them are Sultan Ground land.

Then, the 245,302 square meters of land consisting of 117 plots of village land and 17 Sultan Ground plots of land will be used to support the construction of the Solo "Yogyakarta" Kulon Progo Toll Road.
