JAKARTA - The preparation of a draft Ministerial Decree (Kepmen) to regulate the technical distribution of People's Business Credit (KUR) in the housing sector continues to be accelerated.

The Minister of Housing and Settlement Areas (PKP) Maruarar Sirait (Ara) targets that the legal umbrella will be issued at the end of July 2025, in accordance with government directives so that KUR disbursement of IDR 130 trillion can be executed immediately on target.

"We are still optimistic that the PKP KUR Housing regulation compiled by the Ministry of PKP can be completed this July," Ara said in his official statement, quoted on Tuesday, July 15.

He added that his party would still hold a number of follow-up meetings with the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs and the Danantara Investment Management Agency (BPI), which oversees five Associations of State-Owned Banks (Himbara) as distributors of KUR in the housing sector.

"We will also continue with the meeting of the technical team because no one has the experience of Housing KUR, this is the first time in Indonesian history," he said.

Ara hopes that the housing KUR that will be run in the future can have a dual economic impact. Thus, housing development not only produces quality buildings, but is able to spur business-scale competitiveness in the infrastructure sector.

"If the term Minister of Finance loosens. Sizing is from micro to small, small to medium. So that there is also something useful," he said.

For your information, the Ministry of PKP, BP Tapera, Danantara Indonesia and five Himbara banks are discussing the technical management of disbursement of Rp130 trillion from Danantara for housing projects.

Later, the Rp130 trillion fund from the Danantara will be used for residential People's Business Credit (KUR).

Later, the Rp130 trillion fund from the Danantara will be used for housing KUR.

The disbursement of funds from Danantara was directed by President Prabowo Subianto. Ara assessed that the housing sector also supports economic growth because it involves related industries.

Given, there are around 180 industries related to cement, sand, glass, lights and so on that contribute to the national economy.

The support of IDR 130 trillion from Danantara for the community housing program is good news.
