BPJS Ketenagakerjaan Jakarta Kelapa Gading Sends Compensation For Death And Socialization For The KWK Task Force In Cilincing

JAKARTA - The Employment Social Security Agency (BPJS) of the Jakarta Kelapa Gading Branch Office conducted socialization to the Kalpika Wahana Cooperative Task Force (KWK), the drivers and residents around the North Jakarta KWK office in Cilincing District, Monday, July 7.

The activity, which was attended by 80 people, was carried out thanks to the collaboration between BPJS Ketenagakerjaan Jakarta Kelapa Gading Branch Office and member of Commission E of the DKI Jakarta DPRD Ramly HI Muhamad who is also the Chairman of the North Jakarta KWK.

Head of the DKI Jakarta BPJS Employment Regional Office, Deny Yusyulian, hopes that this activity can increase public awareness and understanding, especially the drivers and residents around the North Jakarta KWK office, regarding the importance of the benefits of the employment social security program as protection for informal workers and other informal workers.

Through this socialization, residents are given comprehensive information about the benefits of BPJS Employment programs, including Work Accident Insurance (JKK), Old Age Security (JHT), Pension Security (JP) and especially Death Security (JKM).

"We hope that all KWK drivers and informal workers around the North Jakarta KWK office can be protected by a comprehensive employment social security program," said Deny.

Deny said there are still around three million residents of Jakarta who have not been protected by the employment social security program.

This activity is part of our strategy to reach the group. We involve community organizations so that they can help educate, socialize, and facilitate the registration process," explained Deny.

Meanwhile, a member of Commission E of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Ramly HI Muhamad, hopes that with this socialization, participants will increasingly understand the importance of BPJS Employment social security benefits.

"I can be said to be in contact with hospitals every day to take care of residents, and often they are constrained because they have not been participants in BPJS Ketenagakerjaan. Even though if they become participants, this problem will be easier to overcome," said Ramly.

Related to this, Ramly promised to help socialize the benefits of social security at BPJS Ketenagakerjaan, during recesses and various opportunities to meet with his constituents.

In addition to discussing the benefits of the employment social security program for informal workers, on this occasion the symbolic handover of Death Security Compensation (JKM) to the heirs of the late Asmat who previously served as a janitor at the RW 019 Pegangsaan Indah Association.

The heirs are entitled to IDR 20 million in Death Compensation, IDR 12 million in Compensation and IDR 10 million in Funeral Compensation which has been paid at once.

"The submission of this Death Security compensation may serve as a reminder for all of us that the employment social security program is very important for participants and their families," concluded Deny.
