JAKARTA - Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir projects that a number of public companies (Perum) can donate dividends to the state amounting to Rp200 to Rp300 billion next year.

"I'm sure that Perum will have dividends in the future. We will project that maybe from Perum it can be Rp. 200 to Rp. 300, we will give it to the state too," he said in a working meeting with Commission VI of the DPR, in Jakarta, Tuesday, July 8.

According to Erick, this dividend contribution from Perum can be realized through improving performance and also the efficiency made in the company. The revenue from Perum will complement the contribution of other BUMN holdings.

Furthermore, Erick said that the dividend deposit contribution from Perum is also proof that SOEs have healthy financial performance. Later, the dividend can be reused to support as an assignment without burdening the state budget (APBN).

"If we look at it, with the improvement of Perum, we believe there will be additional dividends there," he explained.

As previously reported, SOE Minister Erick Thohir proposed an additional budget for the Ministry of SOEs for 2026 of IDR 454 billion. The indicative ceiling of the Ministry of SOEs in 2026 is set at IDR 150 billion.

Erick explained that the budget that had been set for 2026 could only cover employees and minimum operations. Meanwhile, the Ministry of SOEs needs a budget of around IDR 604 billion next year.

"We need a premiere of approximately Rp. 604 billion," he said during a Working Meeting with Commission VI of the DPR, Jakarta, Tuesday, July 8.

The additional budget, said Erick, is needed to carry out tasks in accordance with Law Number 1 of 2025 according to best practice and support the focus of the policy direction of the 2026 State Budget in the context of national resilience and economic acceleration.

The details, amounting to Rp. 111 billion to carry out its function as a regulator, supervision of the implementation of BUMN amounting to Rp. 118 billion, Series A shareholders and Perum Rp. 101 billion, personnel expenditures of Rp. 117 billion, and for administration and operations of Rp. 157 billion.

Erick emphasized that the proposed funding would not burden the State Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBN). Because the dividend deposit scheme is from SOEs, either through Danantara or BUMN Perum.

Furthermore, Erick said, the funds were taken from the portion of 1 percent of the dividends which were the rights of the ministry as the shareholder of series A.

"So what I said earlier was that I had confidence that the figure of Rp600 (billion additional budgets) would be zero (because it was returned through dividends), so it's not that we are wasting it. Because we are contributing to the country," he said.
