Dismissing Java Sentris Issues, Minister Of Public Works Ensures People's Schools Are Spread Throughout Indonesia

BEKASI - Minister of Public Works (PU) Dody Hanggodo ensured that the construction of People's Schools was not only focused on Java, but spread evenly throughout the country.

This was conveyed by Dody after visiting the People's School at the Pangudi Luhur Integrated Center, Bekasi, West Java, Monday, July 7.

"Phase I there are 24 provinces, not in Java. We don't have any to say in Java, no. If we build for the people of Indonesia, yes, from Sabang to Merauke," he said.

Dody emphasized that the scheme for deploying the People's School construction site in phase II would not be different either.

"In the second stage, it is the same, from Sabang to Merauke," he said.

As for stage I, the Ministry of Public Works divides the work into three sub-stages, namely 1A, 1B and 1C.

Phase 1A itself is targeted to be completed by mid-July, followed by stages 1B and 1C which are targeted to be completed by the end of July 2025.

"In average, 93 percent more times, yes, 98 percent of it is around 60 locations. The rest goes to stage 1B," explained Dody.

According to Dody, as many as 200 locations will be worked on in the first phase with a target of accommodating at least 20,000 students.

"Because one place is not uniform, there are nine classes, there are only two classes, four classes," he said.
