KAI Daop 7 Madiun Goods Transport Reaches 18 Thousand Tons In The First Semester Of 2025

During the first semester of 2025, PT Kereta Api Indonesia Persero Operations Area (Daop) 7 Madiun, East Java, recorded that it had served goods transportation up to 18,455 tons.

"KAI Daop 7 Madiun noted that the performance for the period January 1 to June 30, 2025, has transported 18,455 tons of goods through the logistics distribution of goods transport trains," said KAI Daop Public Relations Manager 7 Madiun Rokhmad Makin Zainul in Madiun, as reported by ANTARA, Saturday, July 5.

According to him, the freight transport sector, which reached 18,455 tons in the first semester of 2025, showed good performance and a positive trend, which increased to 328 percent of the target.

Previously, during the first semester of 2025, it was projected that the freight transport sector would only be 2,620 tons.

Zainul explained that the positive trend was supported by the trust of customers to use goods transport trains in choosing rail transportation modes to support logistics distribution.

"The positive trend is also greatly influenced by the transportation of trainset shipments or a new train series of KRL KCI and Extraordinary Trains (KLB) from PT INKA," he said.

He further said that the good performance of KAI Daop 7 Madiun's goods transportation was also influenced by the transportation of One Night Services (ONS) and Packaged Distribution Goods (BHP).

The highest transport commodity is from KLB INKA amounting to 10,184 tons. Followed in the second position, namely the transportation of the ONS central route of 4,592 tons.

Meanwhile, in the third position, namely the transportation of the ONS southern route with a volume of 1,340 tons.

KAI Daop 7 Madiun continues to strive to improve goods transportation services in its area. Namely, by ensuring the safety and smooth operation of the train, as well as increasing the reliability of train facilities and infrastructure.
