Ade Armando Jabat Commissioner At PLN Nusantara Power

JAKARTA - PLN Nusantara Power (PLN NP), a subsidiary of PT PLN (Persero) has reshuffled the company's board of commissioners.

In the appeal, Ade Armando was appointed as a commissioner.

The news of the appointment was confirmed by Ade. Initially, Ade admitted that he was aware of the news that he was appointed as a commissioner of an acquaintance who congratulated him on his new position.

However, he said he did not want to believe it because he had not received official news from PLN NP. Then, last Wednesday, July 2, he was officially contacted by PLN NP and handed over the position as commissioner on Thursday, July 3, 2025.

"That's right (it became a combination). The PLN NP just contacted me on Wednesday. His certificate ( handed over the position) last Thursday," Ade told VOI, Friday, July 4.

Ade admitted that he wanted to accept the position because PLN NP is a company that has good performance.

He is also committed to supervising performance and also providing input for the company's progress.

Moreover, continued Ade, PLN NP has quite large assets, worth around Rp. 300 trillion. Therefore, he wants to supervise to avoid fraud.

"Well, this is important, so you have to take care of this NP PLN, because yes, it's everywhere if an unsupervised institution is not well monitored, right, especially since it's a very high economic value, the assets are Rp. 300 trillion. So in my view, if this is not considered carefully, it will not be monitored carefully, this could happen corruption, there could be mismanagement like that," he said.

"So we have to get involved together, that's why I accept (the commissioner's position)," he continued.

Ade Armando is known to the public as an academic. He was a lecturer at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP), University of Indonesia (UI). Now, ade has also entered politics and joined the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI).

In addition, Ade, who is also known as a social media activist, has received education at home and abroad.

He graduated from undergraduate education at the University of Indonesia in 1988, graduated from his master's degree at Florida State University, United States in 1991, and graduated from his doctoral degree at the University of Indonesia in 2006.
