Kemenkop: The Red And White Kopdes Employee Job Vacancies Are Hoaxes

The Ministry of Cooperatives (Kemenkop) appealed to the public to be aware of false information or hoaxes regarding job vacancies for employees of the Red and White Village Cooperative.

Deputy for Cooperative Development of the Ministry of Cooperatives Panel Barus said that currently there is no opening of recruitment and the government's focus is still on completing the first phase, namely the formation and legality of the Kopdes, as well as preparing for the operational phase.

"There is no (opening job vacancies). There are many who are hoaxes, if the flyers who say this are accepted with salaries, there are many hoaxes," Panel told reporters in Jakarta, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, June 24.

He explained that the Kopdes Merah Putih program is now entering its initial phase, namely the completion of institutional establishment and legality. A total of 80,000 Kopdes are targeted to be completed and have their deed of establishment before being officially launched on July 12, 2025.

After the legality of the Kopdes is complete, the next phase is operation and development. The panel said this phase requires crucial decisions such as financing schemes, determination of ownership of assets such as offices or warehouses, and the debt mechanism to be used.

In addition, piloting will also be carried out first. The Ministry of Cooperatives targets 80 pilot Kopdes Merah Putih throughout Indonesia.

According to the Panel, ideally piloting will be carried out in each district/city, at least two or three pilot locations. This piloting is important as a place of learning for other Kopdes and allows local governments, especially regents, to make observations.

Regarding when the work vacancies for the Red and White Kopdes employees will open, the Panel stated that the government would not rush.

If the management has been formed through a special village meeting (mus rumor). What we focus on is to be trained, given training, that's the management first. Only later will the management will recruit the managers of the employees," he said.
